It seems to try to patch from your local host instead of from a server on the internet.1) A possibility is that you compiled the client on your own and used a wrong setting at some point2) you're using the linux/mac client and some error snuck into it during it's compilation3) you (or something else) played around with the client config and changed the patch URL (eg. you were testing on your own server and forgot to change something back to the original value - might be that config-switching app by someone else here on the forum as well)That's all the possibilities I'm able to think of

I had the exact same problem! Still, reinstalling from backup is kinda harsh, would be nice to find out what's triggering it. Are we subjected to some sort of A/B testing? :D

Did you run ryzom_recover.exe? that one is known to corrupt files... but i'm not sure if it is still included in new downloads :-)
