This is a great idea. I too was determined to remain neutral at first. I had to do some hard thinking when I found out about the disadvantages. It seemed to me that to follow the path of the neutral was to take the hard road. How little I knew.
There are good reasons for encouraging the idea of playing as a neutral, and expanding the network of neutral TPs would be a step in the right direction.
