The teams that had much more players than required for any contest actually ensured that every team could attend every contest. On Arispotle teams would need to be even bigger (what was 5/2 on leanon could be 8/2 on arispotle) but it can still work. Anyway, individual contests are fine too. After all there is no general olympics winner IRL too (if you don't count national statistics).
