maybe better have a non role-play tag or non pvp tag so every-one is by default rp & pvp tagged (without anything annoying the scene)
PvP tagged by default is such a bad idea that I won't even get into why it's a bad idea.
RP is also better done on an opt-in basis than an opt-out. I've seen a few people who seem unable to tolerate the fact that they share a server with people who aren't 250% utterly immersed drama students. I'd rather force those people to dig into their settings to turn something on than have new players who don't know the controls get blasted by the "Can't break character" crowd.
