Like I touched upon in my last post, a lot of people got "burned out" for a number of reasons and during the period where there were a great deal of back to back OP battles, a lot of people left.
I would say overall that a lot of Kara masters have left the game when I compare it to those master who remain from Ari. Right now, I believe the main issue is that the rest of us who remained realistically need to work on a lot of skills to be able to match the Kami (who I feel have retained more master players).
And that is what I believe the situation to be at the moment.
I don't feel it has anything to do with the "value" of the OP decreasing. Armageddons hold a Q100 OP and I would hate to lose it just as much. To me, ownership of the OPs doesn't just provide your guild with the cats/OP mats (of which I feel cats are still very important if you have low lever players in guild - in fact being a HO, I have to find multiple source for cats) but is ask a symbol of your status and who can say they don't feel pride about what they own?
The OP mats have just as much relevance if you want to provide your guild with the best gear possibly, from Q50 to Q250.
I like Irfidel's idea about the lower Q OP's costing less to declare, but it would still be a faction vs faction thing I believe which would not help to your idea of lower level players fighting over them, especially where there are some guilds who have a mixture of level players.
