There's now also corrupted Gibbaï just west of Knot of Dementia Karavan altar.

Also, I was mistaken about the last Goo infestation in Witherings. There were in fact mutated (stronger than normal) forms of Kizoars, Torbaks, Najabs, Igara and incredibly huge Gibbaí. And they popped up much more quickly than in the Verdant Heights infestation too, maybe because the Witherings already has a lot of Goo.

I didn't remember because we never had to clean them out, they went back into the Goo on their own.

No, I've never see a Goo infestation come in waves.

Just went down to Black Circle camp and there are Foaming Timari to the west of it, south of Withered Stock. Being solo and in dig gear, I did not approach too closely.

The Goo Gibbaïs, are coming in 3 forms asa far as i can tell.

Valcorenoch is the lvl 290 Boss
Fiendish Gibbaï
Mortal Gibbaï

They drop the "Key to the Souls" as well as unique raw materials for crafting.

I have seen so far Gingos, Psykoplas, Slavenis, Cratchas, Timaris, Kibans, Kinchers, Kizoars, Kipestas, Najabs and Gibbaïs infected.

Their names start with:
Festering
Pustulous
Seeping
Foaming
Fiendish
Mortal
Lethal
Revolting

You can make a macro to target them They normally appear near Goo.
Collecting the meats from them and turning it in in Zora near the Enterance at the Stables to the Goo Observer will get you Titles. 1 Meat = 3 Merti Badges, 500 Merit Badges is 1 Title the second title need 5 Keys Merit Badges and 3500 Meat Merit Badges. 1 Key to the Souls = 5 Merit Badges.

Have Fun!

Also you can find the Goo Creatures in Knot of Dementia, Grove of Umbra and Void.

I think it's 1 merit badge for q51-q100 meat
2 merit badges for q101-q150 meat
3 merit badges for q151-q200 meat
4 merit badges for q201-q250 meat

And i think you are right about that.

#22 [en]

Aye, it's exactly that. To expound on the names..

The 150-200 zone mobs go in this order:

Pustulous
Seeping
Foaming
Revolting

And the 200-250 zone mobs go:

Demented
Frenzied
Fiendish
Lethal

They drop as many meats as is their rank in the zone (so Foaming will drop three meat, be it plant or animal), while a Pustulous or Demented one will only drop one meat. The Revolting Gingos I've seen in Knot of Dementia, for some reason, are only in their 130s, so they drop four meats, but are only worth two merit badges per meat. Pretty easy to kill though, for lowbies, as they patrol on their lonesome.

Thanks!

Has anyone seen the other corrupted Gibbai (not the mortal, fiendish) drop anything? I have gotten a normal gibbai jewel maybe 1 in 15 kills and that is it, no meat , no key, no goo contaminated anything. Nothing to turn in to the Goo Observer.

#25 [en]

I've not even see any corrupted gibbai yet, despite making several rounds through the regions with a targetting macro. Do people keep killing them as soon as they spawn or what? :P

#26 [en]

It appears that the corrupted animals have been pushed back. I've been digging in Paramount Stock for many months (IC/IG) and have not seen a single infected Najab where they usually breed. However, I do not believe the situation hs been contained. This feels like the calm before the storm.

I've continued to see a couple of corrupted animals in Knot of Dementia, at least, closer to the central and northern areas of the region... I will agree that there are less, though.
