#24 Multilingual

I started having a similar issue as yours when I upgraded to Yosemite OS.
Basically, game will crash a few seconds after login and eventually crash computer to its login screen, it only says 'we have encountered a graphic poroblem' and an option to report it to Apple but no crash log or anything. This happens particularly when using an external monitor via hdmi, and usually only once or twice per client (I run one for myself and one for alt)

Someone I talked to last night suggested to deactivate full screen mode as a possible fix but I have not tested this yet.

My Mac will not load the new patch, it just says "Patch Failed!" and I cannot log in. It fails at 18/27 of the patch. Can someone please explain here what I should do? (12/20/2020) I am using a fairly new MacBook Pro, and MacOS 11.1 (Big Sur).

Hello,

You must completely uninstall the game and reinstall it. Don't forget to download the installer on the official website : https://ryzom.com .

Seriously?? OMG! a patch screws up the whole game for a player, or players? come on! I will do it, but think about the image you are putting out there!

You need to backup gamedev.bnp from 'data' to 'user' folder (just copy).
Then just keep running client and patch until there is no more to patch (client is able to patch 1 file at a time).
After it finishes, delete gamedev.bnp from 'user' folder.

Where those folders are under mac, I do not know.

You could also reinstall, whichever is easier to you.

This patching bug should be fixed on newer releases.

Hello!

By default I think it has files at ~/Library/Application Support/Ryzom/ on macOS where "~" (tilde) represents path to your system user home directory.

I can't seem to find a "gamedev.bnp" file, nor a 'data' folder.

I finally found the pathway to Ryzom though, you have to go to the top of Finder and go to the "Go" tab, then type the pathway in as Moniq wrote above. (If you just type in that pathway in the search window in Finder, it does not work!)

So, I am still stuck out of the game. :(

So.. I deleted the whole game and tried to reinstall and launched it and again it crashed, but this time it got past 18/27 but it crashed at 19/30. Please someone fix it! Or else I guess I cannot play this game any more :(

OMG, ok, so finally after trying again 4 more times, the patch finally finished and I am online. However, everything is messed up, I need to reset all my settings. Will inform you of other problems.
