The Town crier, shouted at the top of his lungs in the city streets of Pyr:

Oren Pyr, Fyros!

Light and warmth are on the Empire! By imperial order, the date of the next elections of Akenak has been determined! They will be held from Holeth, Nivia 30, 3rd AC 2556(JY) until Quarta, Germinally 10, 4th AC 2556(JY)**! All Fyros Patriot candidates must respect the tradition of the Dagger!

Spread the word, my brothers, Akenak campaigns are now open and applications will be taken at the Agora starting Quarta, Floris 10, 3rd AC 2556(JY)*!

Glory to the People, glory to Emperor Dexton!

Thus he continued shouting himself hoarse, in accordance with his duty of town crier, while distributing posters on which were recorded the rules of nomination and election:

Applicants should make daggers to give to Fyros citizens, which are then given on the day of the vote to the officials in charge of the elections! The campaigns are open for the Akenak!

As my duty requires, I must regretfully inform you that none of the candidates for akenak has received sufficient votes. The senate will temporarily resume the most essential duties of the akenak until the next election and will hold public meetings until that time.

As the messenger left, she ponder on the current state of the Empire. She was very aware of the great Fyros guilds and their past service to their country; therefore, she could not comprehend why so few Patriots heeded the Call of the Dagger. As she reviewed the election results for the last time, she felt the need for something to again fire the heart of her people.

The senate will continue to discharge the most essential duties of the akenak until the next election. Public meetings will be held at the request of the citizens or as the senate feels necessary until that time of the next elections.

After the messenger left, Senator Dios got up from her desk and walked to her balcony to look over the dunes of the nation she loved. As she gazed at the sawdust swirling on the breeze unknowing where it would land, she had the feeling that the future of the Empire was just as uncertain.
