I am not sure if this is posted somewhere or not, but I am getting a bit annoyed at seeing guilds on Silan, Silan used to be the place for new members so they get to know the game, not get bribed into a guild! If there is a way for players to join a guild about 3 weeks after they get off of silan, I think it will benefit everyone. You have the major guilds out there making alts on silan, joining their guild, and recruiting players before they even hit the Mainland to see all of the guilds out there, and what each one is capable of doing! I believe that players should get to know as much as they can before they join a guild, and I am sure others do as well. I came off of silan not too long ago, and this is why I am saying this. I made my own guild to get away from all of the other majorly packed guilds so I can learn the game without interfearance.

putting such a time limit isn't a good idea i think,
speaking for the guild i'm in we don't requirt on silan only time i guess you can see one of us on silan is when somebody is there on an alt to help ppl or when a friend of us joins the game and wants to join the guild for some chats but i'm sure we don't activly recruit there if we do let me know.
but there are some guilds i've heard that reqruit on silan and that's a bad thing also heard of an alt guild there reqruiting on silan and telling ppl when they go to mainland they have to drop guild and join their main guild (i'm not saying who they know already) and that should stop
same with ppl getting random invites from guilds while they aren't guilded without speaking to them first

There always were guild ambassadors at Silan as far as I remember. I don't see it as a problem. It's not like you're stuck with a guild forever once you join one. Really, this server isn't big enough to be bothered with guild politics.

I'm sure there's a technical possibility to prevent Silan players from joining a guild. But I really don't see the point.

Morals... I have been and will always be against recruiting on silan unless it is an alt, or a person known irl.
They need time to get to know the game and its players. By joining a guild before they know anything a homin can be influenced by that guilds religion/race/play style.
Yes, a player can chose to leave a guild if they don't fit, but sometimes players don't know about the game or know what they want. Then when they leave they already a. have fame for a certain religion and takes a lot of work to change or b. have gotten to believe that that one religion can be better than the other. That doesn't always happen but I have seen it happen before.

I agree with Meagon, and that is why I posted this to begin with. Lets say if I was going to start this game for the first time, I run into GoJ and FB for example. They are both highly populated on the Mainland and I do see some alts on Silan from not just their guilds, but many others. Let a player experiance the game before we all go spamming them with guilds! As a new member to the game, they should experiance everything, like in real life, if you go through a game while being helped out 100% of the time, it takes you a lot longer to fully understand what you are doing... if you get helped 50% of the time, then figure things out on your own, you learn more, and the game gets fun. I am not one to get guided 100% of the way, because I feel it spoils everything for me.

but a time limit would also nerf some ppl that wanna join a guild because of beliefs and such fast also the same with friends
i'm not against forbiding inviting ppl on silan (should be possible maybe to not allow guilds there)
once on mainland i think ppl should be free to join a guild they can always leave (i know that's hard for some) and not everyone i talk to wants to join a guild directly

Having guilds on Silan will not nerf anyone. If someone wants to join a guild, and are 100% sure, they can join right away when they get onto the mainland. As far as friends go, that is where the friends list comes in handy, better yet, create a new channel for those who want to have a friendly enviroment from that certain guild, but as far as seeing guilds and guild emblems on silan I would not like to see. GoJ can make a channel for their guild, to keep in touch with friends on silan, and I could also make a channel for friends on silan to connect with my guild, but once again, I do not believe guilds should be present on Silan.

The custom channel thing is possible but the problem is you can have maximum 2 custom channels and i'm already working with 3 that means joining checking leaving and so on to the point i just don't look at one anymore and if there is an op or npc hunt most of the times that also means a custom channel => get it (and those aren't empty ones)
I'm strongly against a 3week time for ppl to join a guild i even think some ppl would leave the the game if they have to do 3 weeks alone (damm i think i couldn't do a day without a guild myself just for the laughter and chats)
But I don't find no guilds on silan a bad idea like i said in my last post, and once ppl leave they can do what they want on the mainland so if ppl wanna stay 3weeks on silan no probelem and if they wanna leave right away they can also (i did that long time ago)
