IDEAS FOR RYZOM

For info about content, features and bugfixes being currently in work. As alternative, more active use of the developer's blog with posts, dedicated to show us what's going on right now and maybe about plans for next 3-4 months.

+1. I am interested in what is currently being worked on and in store for the future.

Can't do that. They might work on something and have to abandon it because it's either too time consuming or otherwise unfeasible.
If it had been announced somewhere, it'd become a pr nightmare to do so, with loads of complaints from people, bad "reviews" on other websites, etc. etc.

I've done work for other game companies in the past, and every one of them that made such early announcements (rather than only announcing things when ready to ship) had to deal with all that cr*p on a very regular basis (and those were companies creating products aimed at a clearly adult/mature audience, not dissimilar and maybe more so than Ryzom).

This is not a problem. The only ones who would have to deal with complaints would be the CSR's. And constructive criticism is always welcome.

P.S. Dear Sywindt, next time would you be so kind to delete only the phrase you found inappropriate instead of deleting entire post. I put some efforts into thinking it out, you know, and you destroyed it with a pair of clicks. Thanks.

I think supprise content is much better. But would love to see some of the half completed half inplemented content finished.

It is a massive problem, Tumbleweed. I've worked in the industry, and still work in software development where promises about delivery dates are made by people who don't know if they can be met, then of course late delivery inevitably follows with the complaints that raises, or the product is delivered in an unfinished state because someone high up insisted the product be shipped as announced no matter what, with complaints about missing features, bugs, etc..
