Like the title says, decorating your app fun and all, like placing the beer barrels all 3 right on top of each others can take some time and dedication :). But it's a hassle to invite ppl over to come look at your app so why not give GL and HO's the option to play abit with the boring look of the guildhalls ?

yes, putting memorabilia on the walls and/or floor is a good idea.
We've quite a few items we preserve for historical purposes (the first thing made by a new master crafter, the last thing made by an old friend before the left Atys, things like that) cluttering up the hall.
Having some display options would be very nice.

Great idea! I likes it! It would also be nice to be able to have like a display case sorta thing where you can display and make untakable by anyone but you the items you got for example from Event as reward, or Crafted by someone who is no longer around and would like to give it a place of honor.

I wish you could place framed screenshots on the walls. When you click on the frame, it would open a picture window with a small description under it.

You could buy frames at the local city merchant for civilisation points. When you place it on the Guildhall's wall, it asks you to upload a picture and write a description. Buying frames with civ points would allow you to buy frames from either capital, not just the one you have your GH in. so you could buy a frame in FH and put a screenie of your guildies hunting a boss in the lakes, for example.

Of course, to avoid server overload, there should be a limit on the picture sizes and file size. There could also be various frames sizes and shapes for smaller and larger portraits. I heard that PNG files take very little space for somewhat decent picture quality. Also, the curent placing mechanics for appartment furniture makes it possible to place the frames virtually anywhere on the guildhall walls.
