3 Years ago (according to my account login, which I correctly guessed after many tries using every name I could remember that I used to use :P ) , I made an account for Ryzom due to the game going Free for a few months. Well, as it turns out, I loved it. Problem is, it went back to subscription and I have a hard time playing subscription games.

All that time....for those 3 years, I played MMOs, wanting to have an awesome time. Every time I'd drop them after a week or so, and a tiny voice in the back of my head said "ryzom!" . The fact of the matter is, in NO OTHER MMO have I had as much fun as Ryzom, it clicked with me.

Now here I am, 3 years later, looking for a new MMO to sink some time into, and I think "Hey, whatever happened to Ryzom?" Lo and behold, it's gone F2P :D . Well, mostly F2P. More than likely, I'll level myself up and hit the cap, and will force myself to pay for a subscription for the first time ever :P .

I'm downloading the game now, going to see if it clicks with me again (I only have fond memories in the 20 or so hours I played) . Going to have to make a new character I'm sure, if the old one isn't already deleted. But as I recall the game is really complicated (My favorite part :P ) , and I wouldn't be able to cope.

So I have this question: Do the resources still go "SPLORTCH" when you find them? Lol, having green blobs splortch all over everything is my most vivid memory :p .

Oh yes, SPLORTCHing is still very much being done :)

Welcome back!

yup. Lighting up the beech around Fairhaven to show newcomers that there are indeed things to dig there is still possible :)

I am gladdened to hear this! It was always one of my favorite goals to get my resource detection range and radius up high enough to effectively "show off". ;)

Like fireworks across the ground, so are the resource points of Atys.
