IDEAS FOR RYZOM

There really isn't much benefit to the tribe fame other than having a safe haven to run to when being pursued by mobs, or a safe place to pack packers when out on an extended digging expedition. How about a change to that? Few things:

Firstly, and granted this only affects pvp players, but if you're being chased by a mob intent on ripping your guts out and run to a friendly camp, they will come to your rescue, but if you're being chased by a player intent on ripping your guts out, they instead stand aside and watch you get butchered, that doesn't make much sense to me. Why not change things up so that if player A runs into camp with trabe fame at green, and player B runs in after him attacking him, but has tribe fame at yellow or below, he is set upon by the tribe ppl? Naturally, this will work the other way round, so if player A is at yellow and player B is at green, even though it was player B that started it, player A gets trounced. If both a green, then they take bets on who drops first

Secondly, guards at the tribe home will help/harm, but the roaming guards won't...why? Why not have the roaming guards have the same player interaction as their stationary counterparts? If you're in trouble and a tribe walks by, they wade in in your defense, if you're really hated by the tribe, they will come running after you, even if you are simply digging

Thirdly, tribe-specific items to trade for. Doesn't have to be superly hyper stuff, can even be silly things like goo-filled candy that messes with controls ( forward becomes back, left becomes right, etc), or fireworks, or a super deluxe candy cane...or maybe plans and materials for different looking armour/weapons that have same stats as normal ones

Great minds think alike :P I was about posting a thread with very similar suggestions. These ones are definitely good. However, i will come up with my own tribe-related ideas a bit later.

Yeah, I love the idea of tribes interfering in PvP by helping the player who has the higher fame with them. :)

Also, funny items as a reward for high fame with sidefactions are always good. Just getting the tribe title at a certain fame level would be cool! (Easiest implementation; if you have +90 or higher Green Seed fame, you get the "Green Seed" title. One step further; if you have -90 or lower, you get "Seedslayer".)

As for the roaming guards, I think they are too random to be helping/harming. For someone hated by the tribe, they'd be worse than kitin patrols. I would argue instead for having several stationary mini-camps throughout the region, consisting only of guards, that help/harm like the main camp. For a good example, look at Dunes of Exile and Frahar Towers, currently the only regions in game that already have this.

Ah, another idea for a reward idea I'd really like:

If you have enough Green Seed fame, you get "Green Seed Uniform" as an option in your Equip window, and checking this option turns whatever clothes you're currently wearing into the colors of the Green Seed (green boots and pants, turquoise vest sleeves and gloves).

It's a little known fact that every tribe has their own unique uniform colors, and this'd be a great way to express those a little more while also giving us players the option to change the color of our clothes without having to compromise on stats (something else that is often requested).

The clothes wouldn't actually change color, it'd just be a visual effect on you as long as you have the option turned, that anything you wear would appear in those colors. Also, no mixing and matching, you can only wear the complete uniform of one tribe, not Green Seed sleeves and Corsairs boots or something, because I do think there should still be restrictions on color.

turn on the fame and make em attack like mini patrols.....
that would rock :o)

ps. silly iconworshipers...

also....

get hyper famous with em and gain a teleport to each camp :o)

if say ~50 Fames, then their Wanderers will defend for you if you can "call for help" by running the aggros into them :P

...so that they will can acting just like the Settlers

and also - how can I "trade" with ofor any of them Villages/Tribes? ...I do have ~50 for some of them

I like the equipment colors idea especially. It would be nice to have more reward for gaining tribal fame. I'm against wandering guards being agro depending on your fame, though.

why is there any Wanderers then?

For the same reason that you're running all over the world, Muffin. They are looking for stuff.

then, for the same reasons as us, they should also beable to interact with ... everything else

just like if they can have Tribal Wars that we can participate in and turn the balances set inbetween all of the different kinds of Tribes

and so if they can be enemies with other Tribes then whenever their pathways cross it will be devastating and very destructive (creating even more of a reason for the same futile hostilities and discord among of the Tribes)

and why doesn't aggro aggro at them any? they can just simply walk by us without even turning and noticing that we are being attacked and we can still have maximum Fames with them and nothing different

if enemy Tribes with lots of negative Fames can aggro at us then it will make the Atys so much more interesting and dangerous - challenging
