Hi, I don't have too much time playing as many here, but I also like the game.

I can't found anyting about game-content to be added in dev.ryzom.com. there seems to be only focus in ryzom-core. I know that's very important too, but are any person, developer or "High Officer" who can say, at least, that ryzom developers are currently just busy fixing/improving a (high?) priority issue in ryzom-core before work in implementing, say, underwater access ingame?

I wrote a suggestion regarding this in feedback.ryzom.com. Please let me know what you think.

_The_ dev is French, and they're usually on strike for 360 days of the year. =)

aww, there must be more than one person in charge of this. I hope they're busy working in new content or getting more people to arispotle, as I read in some places their servers are very more populated than the english one.

There are many of us who dont speak french nor german and just know english despite it isn't even our native language (mine it's spanish)

Yeah, maybe we still have one or two part-timers volunteering in addition to the 'real' dev. ^^

And I don't know why people keep saying that though. Even if they had double Arispotle's population(which I don't believe they do based on my latest visits to them - math is a universal language ;) ) it still wouldn't be much to write home about. :p

Methinks they are working on bug fixes for the Linux and Mac native clients... I know that's not actual "content" but they ARE busy doing something.

and there's a lot of space to be filled in on the map of the kitin lair. Names of rooms yet impossible to reach are written there...

that info about kitin lairs is good to know.

i also think they could be busy working in macosx and gnu/linux client (altought I only use the gnu/linux client and works very well for me, at least for playing, not ring), but some info about game-content planned would be more useful for people who doesn't come to ryzom because it was released as free software (as me) or are tired of the same korean mmorpgs, but come to ryzom because they see the outstanding gameplay it has to offer (noclass system, crafting, atyis itself, etc). To have new players, ryzom must be and *look like* a living project, not just for devs, but players.

I might be wrong, but these are just my impressions because I can't see anywhere saying "next chapter: clanwars, 2011-XX-XX, be prepared!" or even "Next chapter delayed until we reach the stable version for MacOSX and GNU/Linux of the game client"... that's all I ask, and I think would be useful for ryzom and it's community.

kind regards :)

It is always risky for devs to give much detail about planned updates. Schedules slip, priorities change, etc.

Communication has never been their strong suite. Not so much as a vague outline these days, never-mind specifics.

We used to have news scheduled for soon (TM) filled with fake promises and stuff that never got completed, back in the old, old time.

Winchgate only tells us what's going on whenever it's almost finished and about to be released. Of course, we don't get much news... but we know that, when we get an update, whatever it says WILL be in the next patch, IS in the next patch.

So yeah, we don't get a lot of news, but we still got more than we used to with the previous owners, and it wasn't made of hot air.
