It has come to my attention that since the 2552 Akenak confirmation, Akenak Thedon has not been seen nor heard from. If anyone has seen or heard anything or knows of his whereabouts would they please let us know?

I take the disappearance of an Akanak very seriously, specially at this time.

I was at the 2552 Akenak inaugeration, hoping to discuss with the Akenak the matter of the recent Kitin attack on Pyr and how there had been no forewarning or news of the attack. But with Akenak Thedon's disappearance, I've yet been unable to do so. Though I hesitate to take seriously the speculations of a gossip tabloid like the Eye of the Tyrancha, I must wonder if there is not indeed some conspiracy at work surrounding that kitin attack.

I offer all support I can muster in investigating Akenak Thedon's whereabouts.

I take offense at your comments about the Eye of the Tyrancha. First of all, the Eye happens to be a very serious and respectable gossip tabloid, thank you very much. Moreover, what you call "speculations" actually has a technical term in the Atysian news industry, we refer to it as "investigative reporting". I think that sounds better and I would prefer if you used the correct term from now on.

On the subject of the Kitin attack, I think homins who dwell, forage, hunt and travel through the Desert are to blame for the lack of forewarning as much as the Fyros imperial scouts. Not many tried to warn others of the unusual Kitin activity, and even fewer seemed to listen or take it seriously. It's not like the Kitins would tell us they were coming themselves. But I understand it all happened too quickly. As for the lack of news _after_ the event... Senate conspiracy, I tell ya.

I hope Akenak Thedon can be found and I will do my best to assist however possible. Maybe he knew too much about the true reason behind the Kitin attacks...

Rikutatis, I am sure Marelli intended no offence towards your amusing and occaisionally accurate gossip tabloid. I too fear that his disappearance may be more sinister than I had originally imagined, thinking he had been merely taken ill or taken a holiday. There was kind of Demonstrator present at our last meeting, at which Akenak Thedon failed to appear, though it is not known about what he was Demonstrating, since the meeting was adjourned due to Thedon's absence. Perhaps there is a connection? As for a senate conspiracy, well, I suppose we shall have to await the next edition of the Eye of the Ty to hear about that..

Accusations of homins not taking the impending kitin assault seriously have to be refuted most sternly.

Several homins, placing life and limb on the line, took on the advance guards of these invaders in both the Gate of Obscurity (where they emerged into the Prime Roots) and Scorched Corridor.
These early invaders were soundly defeated, and our findings reported to Fyro authorities where apparently the reports were lost in the bureaucratic red tape for which the Empire is as famous as for its pyromania!

I see this not as a conspiracy so much as a sign of government functionaries being incapable of taking decisive action because of their too stiff procedures (without executive approval, budget meetings, etc. etc. apparently not even a patrol could be sent out to keep watch).

Leaving aside these groundless attacks on the Fyros people and their government, which I am sure would be very welcome in a different conversation, we are still left with the unsolved mystery of Akenak Thedon's whereabouts.

I am sure all upstanding Fyros are keeping thier eyes peeled, as are our friends on the Council of Nobles, and I ask again that eveeryone be watchful for any information leading to his safe return, kjust as our beloved statue of Azad was returned to its rightful place by at Cerakos Gate last week, .mercifully undamaged.

I'm sure the respected reporter from the Eye of the Ty has his ever open ears to the ground also.
