the display of a short message (like that shown when in /afk mode) can imho make good sense sometimes even when one is not afk, but simply too busy to respond at all soon or at all .... For example: 'bosshunting' or 'need rez' or 'busy crafting' etc

Activating such a msg could normally take the form of /msg <busy crafting> and to deactivate the msg one could perhaps enter /msg * <-- similar to entering and leaving a channel.

The 'need rez' msg could instead become automatically activated / deactivated
