How to use the MP3 player? Where should I put my music *.mp3 files to be able to see 'em inside the game?

I'm using SteamOS

Under ryzom folder create 'music'. I'm sure steam has option to open program folder somewhere.
Put mp3/ogg files there. It can also be playlist in m3u/m3u8 format (ie each line points to mp3/ogg file on some other folder).

Network strams are not supported.

under linux mp3/ogg files are here: $HOME/.local/share/Ryzom/0/music

You can also use links. Either full 'music' is link, files under it are links, or sub-directories are links.

You do not need to restart game for it to take effect. You do need to press refresh on playlist.

mp3 support was added a year ago. git commit hash 1e6027c if you interested.

Yes I know that there is support for mp3, but it still doesn't work on linux, even if it was added. So only Windows is supported for both formats: mp3 and ogg. Linux has still only ogg support. (I use linux and the offical client aswell)

I added it. I know it works. Your issue must be something else.

Karu! I am sooo sorry! I have deactivated the sound... :-D It works perfectly. I had my moment of... you know xD Thanks :-)

But the whole mp3-player stopped working, when then sound is deactivated. I expected that the mp3-player would display the list of files at least with deactivated sound.

Available formats (file extensions) are provided by sound driver which is not available when sound is deactivated.
