Even if you wanted to attack back, you can't, unless i am also baby root PvP flag or, you are flag with the (non-exist) RP flag.

A lil lesson of GamePlay: There actually in game 3 types of flag.

1. "RP" flag: The flag you active by clicking on the green sword near your name infos. It allow mutuals players who did activate it to fight each other.

2. Baby roots ( or arena ) flag: When you go there, the game itself tells you: " You are now in a Guild PvP Zone: Here, guilds can confront each other". And, when you leave: "You left the PvP Zone, You are still attackable for 120 seconds".

What mean:

- If both players are on the PvP zone: they can attack each other.
- If only one player was on the PvP Zone: Only this one get tagged for 120 seconds and is attackable by everyone who feel to.

3. OP Battle Flag:

a. You are OP Battle flagged: You can be attacked only by someone who choosed ( for example ) defense if you took attack.

b. You are OP Battle flagged and also RP flagged: You can be attacked by both. The one who took defense when you took attack and an another player who is not even involved on the OP Battle but is RP flagged as you also are.

Hello,
Rowdyclaws
Still, I do think that a tryker citizen should be able to rally the guards to attack if a bandit is sitting outside the city gates. That was my suggestion for the game. It is unrealistic in terms of rp that city guards would just go about their daily business when one of their citizens is murdered in front of them.

Okay so lets put down the Meta Roleplay here...
( widely explained there: https://app.ryzom.com/app_forum/index.php?page=topic/view/28385/ by @Wirroy )

An homin with an helmet cannot be recognized, for example when his face is draw on the "wanted dead or alive" stable wall.
Unless his armor or behavior show any sign of someone not from the city.
->
All that in RP ofc, since GP guards still recognize us; and kill on sight.
<-

What do this mean? Simply it mean that RP wise it isn't unlegit or unlogic from this point of view,
and that the only limit of the RP is your own imagination.
So do not throw the "RP" word too much in all situations.

That been said now; A Marauder could desguise himself or been in a under cover mission in cities, to grab informations;
Or even for a "cleaning" job (aka a murder, prime hunt.. etc)

We can also say that, guards; like any Homins in a dangerous and misery world could get easily corrupted,
and put aside their prior for dappers, or ressource;
Maybe to feed their own family.
And in that case, ignored the murder (do it happened at night? Cities aren't sure and safe when the darkness come, this is just an example ofc.)

Mean, lets stop act like everything is rainbows and cotton candy, Atys is a dangerous place, everywhere; We did not invent it, its in the Lore.

Regards.

So basicly someone died very close to a respawn and didn't get DP... I don't see any problem here...

That interaction between RP/Personal PVP flag and regional PVP flag, as described by Mithian above, definately seems like a bug. Roots and other zone tags should not allow another player without the same tag to attack.

Yes Placio,
I wonder even if a toon out of pvp zone may not be open to attack from anyone, tagged or not, while he cannot counter attack, unless to someone coming out also from pvp zone, or to someone tagged if he is tagged himself of course.

I guess marauders know pretty well the answer :)

But the fact is just amusing. One just have to be cautious and wait the end of timer.

Hi Zendy ♥ Long time we didn't saw you :D

Marauders, or... just peoples who have actually some GP mechanics, i would say, but yeah, we are Evil, how could i have forget it...

Warning message states: You are still attackable for 2 minutes.

People say: I left without the timer elapsing; when the game clearly states I am attackable for 120 seconds, I got attacked and killed, therefore it's a bug.

As far i understand the warning "You're attackable for another 120 seconds." there is no reason to assume a bug nor bug using.

You're attackable for another 120 seconds, and using a safe zone (e. g. beneath a Transporter) for this 120 seconds is recommend.

---

Would be nice if this was implemented into gameplay.  Say the lower your fame the greater the aggro range of the guards, whether civs or tribes, and it to affect wandering patrols too.  This would reflect how notorious you are.I also think that TP zones should only offer protection if you can also use that TP. Oh and that we can drag aggro on Revvy :P

Then covering your head with helmet would prevent that? :P

It obviously refers to being attacked by other PR/Arena tagged players, ie people with the same tag as you, so there is a bug if RP tag can attack a PR tag, but a PR tag cannot attack a RP.

#28 Report | Quote[en]

It's not even about RP tag.

For now, in the case you run out PR and are tagged for 120 secs, Everyone, tagged or not can hit you.

#29 Report | Quote[en]

Seem like you guys dont want to understand a simple thing, wich isnt even hard to get.. its mechanism.

1. You goto: PvP prime roots.
2. You are set as "attackable" by everyone; except guild/league/team.
3. When you go out of this PvP zone:

-----> where ever you do go:
You are still attackable for 120 seconds.

By everyone. (exception was raised on statement #2)

That also why you do have.... *giggles*. A safe aura Tp.
Wonderful right?

End of the story guys, now that you learned how work the basis of PvP area in the game.. i suggest we close this topic.

Since it has nothing to do in the Idea for Ryzom category.

Oracle Post Scriptum (to anticipate reaction): And obviously, you cannot fight back.. i shall remind you the one attackable is You.
