Odd one this, just came back after about a year away.

When I move the mouse around, the whole game scrolls in the same direction, right off the monitor. Rather irritating.

Using Debian Stretch, fully updated with stretch-proposed-updates included too.
NVidia gfx.

Is this a known fault or did I just prospect a new one ?

if you dont hold down any buttons and you in freeview mode and pressing mouse buttons does not fix it, then this is first time I hear it and have no idea why this happens

Hello!

When you say "...whole game scrolls in the same direction, right off the monitor." Are you talking about your PoV in game or are you talking about the window the game is in?

If the latter, I would tend to blame your mouse settings in the system, and not Ryzom. I don't think Ryzom can move its window.

If the former, then Karu's suggestion of hitting some buttons on the mouse (probably both L and R at once) should fix it. Sometimes the free look mode (camera is locked to the mouse) gets triggered accidentally.

Sort of fixed.

Just to clarify the entire game slides right out of view as I move the mouse to the edge of the screen. This starts right from the startup screen with the circular logging in percentage thing. The game begins half of the screen.

Fix ?
Play windowed as big as it goes. Not ideal but it works ok.

When fullscreen, you see part of the game and you can "scroll" to other parts by moving mouse to the left/right/top/bottom edges of the screen?

If yes, then selected resolution for game is unsupported by video card and system is providing virtual resolution for you. If system is providing virtual resolutions to game, then this could happen.

If no, then no idea what the heck is going on.

Hello!

The game does display ok onscreen, fills the screen as you would expect as long as the mouse is central. Moving the cursor to the sides or vertically then scrolls the game down as if you were dragging a window down, leaving just black screen behind.

The resolution is only 1280x1024 I think, nothing unusual and my desktop is 1920 so it's more than capable of it.

However other odd system symptoms have arrived such as VLC being HUGE when it should be tiny playing music. So it's probably at my side of things.

Thank you all for the suggestions, much appreciated.

Now to find out which is the best current Debian based distro to slap on the machine.
