+1 Gidget. There is another aspect to mind as well. A warning from the admins to change passwords means that an attacker may have got access to password hashes so that account abuse is possible. Publicly declaring not to update the own passwd is an invitation for such a possible attacker. Those persons in particular should think twice about letting their password unchanged.

Do we get a popup or something telling us to change pass? i havn't seen it ingame or at billing account nor in steam

should i be getting a message? or is the official post the only thing.

There were MOTD repeatedly to change password. It can be done in 2 ways. The first is to log into your account (e.g. by choosing "Edit Account" at login page with your login name. This will lead you to secure.ryzom.com where you have to enter your old password, then, inside the page, choose "Edit your personal information or change your password.

The second is to click at "Forgotten Password", After entering login name and email address, a password will be automatically created and sent to that email address (given it is the one you entered in your account details). You may then log into your account with that new password to change it (recommended) or just use it .

The billing page of steam is a different thing. It has no connection to the Ryzom login server (something users should be glad about).
