Since 2nd patch yesterday (12/25/16), it works well for me (MacOS).
Still crashing from time to time, but I'm very happy about the release anyway.

I will fix the crashes, know the reason but very busy with server issues. Some options will be added (like resize all axes at same time, cancel a change, etc.)

Sounds awesome, exactly what I'm missing currently. :D

And miniature preview pictures (or at least a preview of the textures) of the shape, to find things easier.

This has been fun so far. Thanks for creating this addition to Ryzom and your time :)

One suggestion:
     I think in the old Ring Scenario you used to be able to assign a path for the creatures to walk. I am not sure if you were able to assign to them if they were to be aggro or be social too, maybe not. But is there a way to assign them any of these attributes in this editor? Maybe i haven't discovered it yet, or it is automatic?

Thanks again, this may be an exciting developement for Ryzom imo!

The Scene Editor is only a "Shape manager". So, nothing are controlled by AI. It's useful for decorations or in a next patch interactive objects.

In the future ARK will open access to spawn of entities managed by AI. And with some profiles (wandering, waiting, etc..)

can't manage to add water :(

The water patches that are in the category water have very different sizes and they spawn often below ground level. You need to move them up (z axis) and maybe resize them (x + y axis).
I use water_fyros_oasis02 currently, that patch is already pretty large.
Be aware that it only gives the look but not any features of water e.g. swimming.

Could you show here what you see when you arrive on the island first time? I have nothing at all, and I'm very puzzled. May i not understand something to start?

If you enter the island and the window does not open automatically, you need to open the app browser (shift+w) and click the Scenographic Editor icon. There you can start your first scene by giving it a name.
