I thought I would post some steps to copy the save folder over when(if) you update the client on Mac.
This way you can keep your macros and flags and keybindings.

1. In a Finder windows select the command Go To Folder.
 2. In the box that show up type "~/Library/"
 3. Follow the path at the bottom of the windowin the picture( Containers>com.winchgate.Ryzom > Data > Library > Application Support > Ryzom). Copy the contents of the save folder (Command+c) or edit copy
 4. Goto the Library folder again:)
Then goto the Path in the windows below. (Application Support > Ryzom) And paste the coppied files inside this save folder
This folder won't be there till after you run the newer client for the first time.

very nicely done fate, many times i've had players ask me how to find the save folder on a mac, and as i use PC i have no idea, but this guide is a huge help.

would you mind if i added a link to your post in the "cookies approved guides and reference" thread (it's a post with links to useful posts like yours, so a player can find a nice neat list of useful information)

thanks,
talkirc

I am trying to find a way to copy my Save data between Windows and MacOS and this looked promising, but com.winchgate.Ryzom no longer exists in the Containers folder. Can anyone update this please, with the location to Save folder in MacOS?

Library > Application Support > Ryzom > 0 > Save

Thank you Aleeskandaro, all sorted now.

Is this still current? I bought a new Mac Book Pro, and am using OS version 10.15.1 Catalina. I want to bring my flags and Macros from my old computer over to my new computer. Where do I find this info to save, and where do I copy it to on my new computer?

The Path if you use the Ryzom Installer is ~/Library/Application Support/Ryzom/0/ instead of the one in first post. (On both your computers if you're using Ryzom Installer on both) Otherwise it's the same as in the first post to get there.

So do I copy the contents of the..../0/ file then paste it over to the new computer?

It doesn't seem to make sense, after the "Application Support" path, I have no Ryzom in that path.. :(

Nae, the path above is where you find the needed info and its the same path you should paste it into on your new computer.

For Landmarks, find landmarks_naema.xml on your old computer and simply paste on the new one.

Macros are in keys_naema.xml, do the same as with landmarks file.

I still have not been able to do this. on my new computer, the pathway is [my name]macbookpro>Macintosh HD>Library>Application support> ***Then were you say it should say "\Ryzom\0\" it is a DEAD END. There is no "Ryzom" folder, just other folders that seen to have no connection to Ryzom. All I can figure is I have the wrong pathway?

Hello!

#14 [en]

Yeah, I still cannot figure this out. I am using Catalina the latest OSX. and a new Macbook Pro. and client 3.5.0.9367 with patch 813 2020-04-10.
It seems to me the path is changed or different, but I cannot find either of these paths. I do not have a path: /Library/Application Support/Ryzom/0/Save.
I have gotten as far as either: MacintoshHD>Users>(Naema's mac)>Applications>Ryzom>Ryzom Installer, OR: (Naema's Mac)>MacintoshHD>Users>(Naema's mac)>Applications>Ryzom/Ryzom Installer.
But when i click on Ryzom installer, it starts the game, I cannot find folders under it to save or change or copy. :(
If I try to type in /library/Application Support/0/ I get two little Log files and that is all

#15 [en]

Hmm for some reason it wasn't working before.
Now I went into the "Go>Go to folder>~/Library/Application Support/Ryzom/0/save" And guess what? It is now working. Thanks all!
