Bonjour,

gives karakter to the game? like not everything is just copy paste?
maybe the guard is allowed because something he did? and the observer maybe likes the weigth and handling of the matis sword more?

Adaptation from "I have a dream" by "Martin Luther King"
I have a dream that one day this world will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all homin are created equal." I have a dream that one day on the hills of Fairhaven the sons of former homins left behind and the sons of former homins that were lucky enough to be rescued will be able to sit down together at a campfire of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the Matis, a state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my 64 little guildies will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin or the religion they follow but by the content of their character. I have a dream today.

Version 1: he took it off a dead Matis

Version 2: he was given it by his Matis mentor and wields it in his memory

It's bad luck to be superstitious . . .

Palta e decata, nan nec ilne matala.

A Fyros with a Matis mentor, that'd be quite the funny thing.

I realise that Fyros and Matis are supposed to be the best of enemies, but that is a civ thing not a race thing.  There are many guilds who have members from more than one race and even a Matis could become a Fyros citizen.

I agree that it is incongruous to see a Fyros warrior wielding a Matis sword, but no more than a Tryker girl with a flaming Fyros sword or axe that is bigger than she is.  Both are merely making a choice about the weapons they use.  I might even say that the Fyros warrior is displaying rare good taste.

Nevertheless, NPCs and generally entities in employ of the Empire should be required to display mostly Fyros insignia, or at least to refrain from openly wielding items also used by the mortal enemies of the Fyros.

For instance, I remember the fyros akenak were discussing an uniform some months ago. The uniform was obviously supposed to use a fyros pattern.

The question is, in what capacity is the Kitin Observer there?

Aren't they rangers?
Since they observe kittin activity in all lands, warn us and actually give homins that did a lot of work for them prizes?
