IDEAS FOR RYZOM

Seriously, when I'm cleaning out the inventory or rearranging things between my meks, gh, or what have you, why can i only select 1 item at a time?

Lets say I just finished a fight and want to dig. I want to be as light as possibe so now i have to click/drag my HA one at a time off myself. Then do the same into a mek or apt. Then I have to do the same thing with any mats i collected. Then I have to select my dig gear 1 piece at a time and put in my bag. Then do the same with jools. Its crazy annoying!

I would like to be able to scroll over many items at once and drag and drop, or maybe click an highlight a bunch of them and move to bag somehow. Figure out a way how to do this please... Thanks

For those who still use the "Move to" option this can cuase a problem with accidentally selecting "Destroy" and rushing to move several items and not realizing they just Destroyed few stacks of sups instead of moving to the gh. Although i like the idea this might cuase a problem with some more specifically our new players.

One of the first questions I had was: can I select and move multiple items/stacks in my inventory.

To say that it's bad for new players is bogus and lame.

The destroy items has a confirm pop up that prevents you from accidently destroying an item.

We DEFINATLY NEED to be able to move multiple items, selling multiple items to a merchant would be a bonus too! (granted a confirm popup on this would be nice to prevent accidental sales that you can not retrieve.)

Try this:

Get the 2 inventories into separate windows

Press and hold shift then drag every stack/item from one inventory window to the other (at least you'll get rid of the "how many do you want to move" request)

And for merchants:
pressing and holding enter and then "just" clicking on the items/stacks will be a bit faster (but you'll have to check which of shift+enter and enter was for resale respectively to merchant only AND be careful not to sell the wrong thing)

I am aware of those tricks Jarnys, but that doesn't solve the problem especially for veteran players that are all over the place like myself. I just don't know how difficult it would be to create a patch that would allow multiple item selection.

I like Callie's add-on to this topic as well. Multi-item selection for at least sales to a merchant would be nice.

If I can trade 8 types of items at once with another player and loot all items from a boss at once, how come I can only trade 1 type of item at a time with myself? It just makes no sense.

Please consider adding this feature in some way to a future patch. I believe more players would be for this than against. Thanks

actually you're still selecting one item at a time during the trade - so using the regular trade system wouldn't be an improvement but rather the opposite IMHO
(and looting is just the receiving end)

I don't think that I've seen any place in the game where you were able to drag a box around something in the game (not even in the ring - there you had to click the corners to create an area)

But you could ask the ryzom core people if there is a possibility to drag a box around something (to select multiple items) with current code or if it needs a lot of work.

Another possibly easier way to implement: Allow multiselection by holding ctrl and clicking items. Shift+click should select all items between current selection and item being clicked. Will probably take hours to code, but I think it's worth it.

Something like that would be very useful.
