#1 Report | Quote[en]

OK, when I am in Northlake Trade Post, with no other players nearby, I once saw mostly Vigilant Igaras, When my levels increased, I saw mostly Hungry Igaras, and then Scavenging Igaras.

Now, when there are, lower level, players in that region, the Igaras tend to be, currently, Vigilant and Hungry Igaras. I have noticed this over the last few weeks.

Question: Does Ryzom take into account, to some degree, the levels of the players in the region to taylor the levels of the MOBs they see.

I am not complaining or griping about it, I am just curious.

Just asking...

I am a Fyros. What more do I have to say other than that?

Mobs can move around depending on the season.

Also where there are groups of multiple levels of the same type of mob, near to some predatory mobs, then the predators can kill of the smaller ones completely, causing a respawn, whilst the larger ones stay fewer in number for much longer - protected by the swarm of weaker creatures.

in this case, it is an emergent behavior from simple underlying mechanics, I doubt it was intended, but it may have been observed and a dev thought "well, that's pretty neat, I'll leave it like that".

Server reboots tend to move things around too.
