#18 [fr]

Icus a river can have many inputs and outputs. Who is to say there weren't more memories that ended up somewhere else? As for only memories mixing up- it is only the soul and therefore the memories which make this journey of mixing which the religions put forward.

3 different "parallel universes" or 3 Time Streams merge with all the paradoxes that inevitably occur. Is it any wonder some of us remember things differently? At some point in the future someone will go back to the past and try to change it. Time heals itself and so the time streams merge. We have witnessed the result.

It's bad luck to be superstitious . . .

Irfidel's head still hurts with the stories the kami and the karavan told everyone at the meeting. To make matters worse now other homins start to talk about this gibberish, too.

Sitting on the little Izam island in the Resting Water region, he tries to remember the past and contemplates the present. He thinks he remembers the time all too well when he was a young homin many cycles ago. He attempted his first solo trek from Pyr to Yrkanis and was nearly stricken mad. Time and time again he had to run against the armies of cuttlers. When he finally made it, just when he thought he was safe, the Karavan temple guards slaughtered him. Only the care and friendship of some few homins passing by saved his life as well as his sanity.

However, some would say he was never sane. Never walking through any rainbow gates and choosing to stay behind during the second swarming was another such foolhardy act. "But am i insane? These folks now talk about a river of time. I am supposed to have stained colours in my head?? And they have been messed with by other homins with other colours in their heads?"

Grumbling that he never fancied any particular colour and still likes his old beloved ranger outfit, he stands up and swims back to the bar in Fairhaven to discuss this mess with those of a sane mind.

"But maybe it is ME who is the only sane homin left...?" At the thought he thunders a laughter which bumps between the rocks of the canyon for a long time.
