Marauder and ranger flags - IDEAS FOR RYZOM

Zorroargh (atys)

Salut les marauds et rangers (et éventuellement trytonistes),
je suis en train de reprendre les portails des maraudeurs et de rangers dans l'Encyclopatys.
Ce serait sympa s'il y avait un bandeau (dessin du haut) et une icone associée à vos factions. SI vous avez des images ou des idées, n'hésitez pas a les stocker dans Encyclopatys et/ou à me les communiquer.
Si quelqu'un peut me traduire dans les autres langues... merci :)

Ryzom LFG

is the one used for mara on the forums and will be used for the mara flag (wich I heard on ryzom forge)

The yellow one Kaavi posted they gonna use for the trytonist flag (not really sure they will want or need a flag)

for the rangers on ryzom core they where not decided last time they had a debate when I was there on the flag for them. I think they where planning to make 2 designs one based on the theist symbol and on on the hominist symbol and maybe ask the rangers. But yeah that might have changed.

Thanks here for you all.
(Binarabi, no need to transalte to French: in that direction, it's ok for me :) )

I knew those PvP logos. But in Encycopatys, we have so nice "logo" as for instance:

Nevertheless, I did ones for Marauders, Rangers and Trytonist based on those PvP icons.

Um... Zo'ro -- I don't see banner designs in the links you gave. The Tryker bird symbol should clearly (in my not so humble opinion) be the primary symbol for the Tryker flag. For the Rangers what I'd like to see is some stylized vision of the Whole of Atys, possibly as a view of the canopy from underneath (since as homins we have no vision of what Atys looks like from outside),

In terms of RP, I'm not sure that the Rangers would *have* a flag in the usual sense, though they might have some sort of marker for their temporary camps to differentiate them from bandit camps.

bitty I was only replying to a discussion that was on the ryzom forge IRC a week or 2 ago (don't think there was a ranger meeting since)

if rangers don't want flags I think their best thing would be to send a mail to support@ryzom.com and put in somewhere it isa mail destinned from Aileya since she is making the flags I think

Rangers can certainly .. ahem, bribe the karavan for some lumios from outer space, I'm sure they have some. There, your reason to put Atys on a flag.

(sidenote, I never understood why kara/kami are such abstract entities who almost never get in touch with homins during rp.. they must certainly have some weak points which can be exploited by cunning individuals)

Another crazy idea is that the kamis are everywhere, so they certainly know how the surface looks like from above, and can "plot" together the data to describe the planet accurately.
