Some of you may recognize me, some not. I am Zurath, the ever faithful servant to Xtarsia. I am here, to share the events of today, troubling though they may be.

We were on a guild supply mission, and had been tracking down rare materials, in large quantity's to create weapons to aid in hunting down the marauders. We were mostly harvesting and hunting the materials ourselves, but also trading with other homins when resources became depleted.

After finally acquiring all that we could, we were to head to Zora, where she would craft over 100 weapons, and hope that many of them would receive Ma'Duks blessing. However, as we traveled past the camp of the "Masters of the Goo", one of their patrols had ventured a little further than normal and caught sight of us. Xtarsia gave a slight chuckle, whilst proclaiming aloud "You wouldn't want to catch me, it would be your end fools!" Not the most gracious of statements, but probably true. As usual i kept my head down and my mouth shut. Regardless, one member of the patrol decided to throw their farthest reaching spells, wich somehow traveled much greater a distance than i've ever witnessed a spell fly. Possibly due to their abominable experiments with the goo.

Usually such things end up landing on my back, being as i am always following  from the rear, But for some reason this shot right over my head.

Watch out!!.... I could hear my words loud and clear in my mind, but i had no time to utter them, and a sense of dread overcame my being as it dawned on me the target of this spell.

Greebles XVIIII. Greebles was from a long line of mektoubs, All of whom had served as mounts, and most of which had died of old age. Greebles was treated better than myself. Sure, her packers sometimes went without food, and even me. But Greebles was always well fed.

She was thrown from her mount as Greebles collapsed and slid in the snow. I pulled my mount up to a short halt, and gave that peculiar wave in the direction of our convoy of Packers, that they understood as "Stop". Xtarsia being the warrior she was, had managed to land with grace, already facing the way we had come, her eyes fixed on the camp. The patrol had already given up the chase and were returning to their duty's, seemingly unaware of what they had done.

The jungle was making its usual sounds, but the snow dampened that a little, there was an old well traveled man a short distance away, chattering to himself. Xtarsias eyes fell down to Greebles, and then it was silent.

A moment passed, and then all composure had vanished from her as she scrambled towards Greebles side. I climbed down, and just stood, keeping watch. Greebles still had some life in him, his legs still motioning as if we were still on our journey. Just as she reached him, he gave one last huff as he turned his head to look at his master.

I had never seen her so distraught, I lent against my mount with a despairing expression, unsure of my self, and feeling a great sorrow, for Greebles, and the pain Xtarsia was in. I turned and tended to the mektoubs in our ensemble.

Xtarsia Screamed, a bone chilling, blood curdling scream, that went on for far longer than i'd think a homins lungs had the capacity for. I quickly turned and ran to the front of the line of packers, to see her with her armor on, armed, with her bag on her back, stood with the most "powerful" of postures, her arms pointing slightly upwards, her eyes looking to the sky, and that scream still shrieking out from her very being. I was paralyzed with awe, and fear, her mouth was shut.

She looked down at Greebles, and then to the camp. "DIE" in a voice not seeming to be her own, pure hatred spilled out from that one syllable, and still lingers in my mind as i write this.

She ran, straight over Greebles body, straight to the camp. I immediately followed, pulling my amplifiers on as i ran, Leaving our convoy of packers and very expensive stock behind! What is she doing?? This is so dangerous!!! Am i really going with her? Thoughts ran through my mind, but i had to follow. That scream had something more to it, it was ethereal.

A patrol was just coming out of the entrance to the camp, they reacted slowly, or maybe she was just too fast. Her blade swept upwards through them in 1 clean strike. 3 down. One legless, one cut through the middle, and the third headless. The three warriors collapsed to her feet, the remaining members of the patrol turned and fled straight back into the camp. The guards posted at the exit flinched, but looked to be frozen in fear for a moment.

Then she laughed, and then that scream! Only much shorter this time. I took a step back, somehow expecting it.. "DIE" she was already in the camp, the guards had started to run in, with the entrance clear i quickly, but cautiously, with my heart thumping in my chest, followed.

The entire tribes magicians were firing everything they had, spells, from all races, afflictions of every kind. The warriors were in 2 fairly even groups, those who dared to charge , and those who were still a live. Her armor was heavily damaged, blood covered her completely. A strange yellow glow coming from the eyes and mouth of her mask, stood out from the black, goo infested blood of the tribesmen.

She was moving towards the back of the camp. The leader was at the middle, but he wasn't of importance it seemed. He was just watching, letting his men do what they could. Her movement was unhindred by the afflictions, and of the vast swathes of elemental spells, very few were penetrating the defensive field created by her jewels.. and whatever else.

I was being ignored, all attention was on her, a smallish looking Zorai with a shaved head was hiding at the back of the camp. Cowering in fear, She had him stunned. Held in a powerful prison projected into his mind. It was no wonder he had a look of death and utter dread. She had once "tested" her ability's to control her enemies on me. I was completely at her mercy.

She slowed to a walk, the rain of magic and sap bombarding her from behind. She held out her sword and just walked, her sword slowly forced straight through his chest. She lifted him slightly off the ground and watched, By the now the camp had yielded a little in their attack. We all stood as the life just dissipated from his body. He wasn't coming back. Then she just dropped him to the ground, and collapsed with him. I screamed out, "NO!!" and quickly pulled the trigger on my amps crystal chamber to let forth the sap charge that would heal her.

That is the last thing i remember, until waking up in the middle of the camp.

Xtarsia was stood looking at the corpse of the bald headed Zorai, his mask shattered and barley attached.

Emilie and Soulflyn were almost done patching me up as I asked them what happened, they explained that they were on their way to train Vosch's healing ability's when they noticed the commotion in the Camp, and that they had run over to investigate. They'd found us both on the ground, unconscious. The rest of the tribe had seemingly fled, and that perhaps the goo had something to do with it, but they had no clue as to why.

Xtarsia simply that she couldn't remember anything after Praying to Ma-Duk for revenge.

As usual i kept my head down and my mouth shut, but i had to write this down, as it greatly disturbs me.
