Sounds like it is not for you, or that you need to stay out of PvP zones. At lease you rest comfortably knowing that no one is permitted to post pictures of your dead lifeless body after you have been killed in a PvP zone.

I would like to put a little word. I often doing this kind of lame pvp.
Some reasons :

-I'm angry because of OP Battle. Not Nice to don't have fair battle but that's game.
-I want the boss for myself and I don't waste my gear and jewels so I find a Nice mob to reduce life of the boss. The mob can be a Homin.
-I want kill the boss myself again but safely without time for reinforcements enemy so I wait the last second to kill the enemy.
-I can blackmail you next time
-I can meet people who are smart to not take this for lame. In fact, I meet Grave of Fireflies like that. I kill them often ( Lamda, Chizeta, Stun ) and they are neutral-kamis While you are kamis. Shame on you Eutrigan. At first they hated this but now I can team for fun with them for talking like girls and kill them anytime like boys. It should be like that and I think now they find this maybe awkward but they accept my style and I can be
Friends anyway.

Finally, from what I have seen, first Virg. I completely agree with attract players for pvp. Through I don't see many news Kamis do pvp without Asylum (that I hate Rollocks because he like that and I like Asylum)and some Keepers of Darkness. Yet it is a year that you started. On other side, french game style for pvp recruit more fans but not enough. AoH were the firsts during merge and they liked it. And now Magister Mortalis live too act like that ( I hope they won't be ban because of crap). So both way are good for attract players but you have to admit that our way is a good one too and works as equals or more because Asylum has adopt french game style for pvp. On my ari account,there wasn't any pvp like that.

And Eutrigan, your incomprehension of a kind of pvp and your habit to think you and your Guild Will be victimized... For us, you are a people among others, you are not important. I never heard of you yet I'm on the merge since beginning. You are just someone crying not in tell but on forums. And if you want slaughter Maras and hunt them, I Will wish you good Luck. I Will think you because you could bring 50 guildmates to the game.

Hi Alric I am new & if can u xplain better PvP. Reading forums take break from missions on silan & I c we have arena here no 1 ever use.

Read all some makes sense some don't but want 2 beter understand cus I c both sides. U sound difernt than rest.

Probably one might take up the idea in the above statement to work on a PvP primer for the upcoming players' manual and the website.

One does not learn PvP reading a manual. One learns PvP by doing PvP.

Preamble: I'm no fan of PvP and am avoiding it as much as possible.

Seeing the game rules and that the area IS PvP I don't see any problem with the behavior (if it was a direct attack and not mob pull or something like that) from a gameplay aspect.

My character on the other hand being a warrior and all would think that it's despicable. So if I came into that situation I might contact some close friends (not personal but of my character and with similar views) that like PvP and ask them if they'd like to avenge me if it was someone from the opposite faction(race) otherwise I'd probably just ask the officials (Akenak, Taliari, Awakend, Nobles, Rangers, ...) to give the person a proper warning, punishment or something like that.

On the other hand if I'm killed too often and the person seems to only kill me and none other of my faction I might go to the CSR (depends on the situation though eg. no CSR if he/she is my direct adversary in a competition)

To summarize: I think this is the wrong place for the post and since you're kami and attacked by marauder call out in the kami channel to hunt down the marauder or do a RP post to beware of person X when in insecure areas.

And why should you go to CSR? You are in PVP zone. You entered there on your choice, and you know you can get killed there. If someone wishes to kill you and only you in a PVP zone, he has all the rights to do so. maybe he doesn't like you going around his territory. If your character is a weakling and you don't like PVP (including others killing you 20 time in a row), don't go to PVP zone. Easy enough.

Alric I agree to your post. There are many different styles of attracting PvPers and mine is to try and bring people out of their "PvE bubble" and try and have some fun. The marauders have proved very good at recruiting and promoting PvP but I think the vast majority of players that would be attracted to PvP by being ganked are now already doing PvP.

Ari actually just started that style of PvP when koni and klrs came over and started killing everyone just before the merge :) I think as PvPers we should try and organize more player events and tournaments to show everyone what a great sport it is!

Hi Blondy ! I never refuse to explain a pvp context :P

There are four types of pvp here :

-Op Battles ( massives battles ) very few now because there isn't a balance
-Supernodes : a 1-hour event every 4 days with new supremes mats appeared in pvp area but here too, there isn't balance because of OOC allies between guilds so it's kinda deserted
-Random pvp with agreement on both sides ( it's often 1v1 until 4v4 pvp )
-random pvp without agreement : you could be attacked by being tagged or in pvp area : often there is some who attacks/ambush fastly and don't let the defender to be able to react

The last one is incriminated because of some average player think it's lame. Well, yes, so what ?

In this context, a new factor is here : the defender was attacking a boss. Unlucky, the attackant want kill the defender and the boss so he waited for the defender to have his life reduced to go on him and to finish the boss for the bonus.

The fact is that it's smart for two reasons :

-You don't waste your gear and jewels by kill fastly the defender and the hurted boss
-You don't fear to be attacked by reinforcements enemy while finishing the boss

Others reasons can be in game on different context but here are some main reasons. And I would like to tell to Etrugan that it's lame to hunt a boss then cast spell, if you are a real men, go in tank :P

I completely agree with killing someone who is attacking a boss btw. Fighting over resources is normal :)

Always thought that never said fighting over resources was wrong. Ganking mainly refers to killing someone defence-less such as diggers.

Yet our OP (original poster) explained very specifically what happened... and you took his side... LOL
