12 known completable rites

As you may know, the following are 12 rites that can be completed; the rest are incomplete rites on which you should waste no time. There are many great guides out there about the rites (i.e.: Ryzomnomnom, Ryzom Forums, etc.) but some needed to be revised including the changes to mission givers, places to find them, etc. I have made this guide for those who want a short route to completing the rites in a most efficient manner. Note that the following are used to simplify the instructions:

  • All steps and actions are in bold characters.
  • Mats needed are the minimum mats you need to complete all the prerequisite missions and the rite itself. I suggest getting these mats before going about the missions, because some missions give you barely a minute to accomplish which is ridiculous if you don’t already have the mats. Mats can be bought or dug; if bought, then the minimum quality you need is also specified. Of course, should you decide to dig them, it is easier to dig all of the highest level needed and use those for every item you craft, as suggested below.
  • BQ,MQ, HQ refers to Basic, Medium and High quality.
  • qXXX for minimum quality level of items; items must be of that quality or higher (i.e.: q10, q45, etc)
  • Unless specified otherwise, the race of the item is of the same as the rite (i.e.: Fyros rite then Fyros items to craft).
  • For each crafted item, I give you the normal crafting plan and in parenthesis the official name of the finished product so you can see if you did the right item. For example: 1h Axe (Cleven Axe).
  • Locations to find mission mats were based on BMSite Maps search and finding them effectually there. As stated below by Bittymacod, the areas may seem to be wrong if you don't find the materials, but in effect some of them are very picky as to direction you face when prospecting. I suggest using as wide an angle as possible (preferably 360), at least range 3 or 4 and Knowledge 1 to 3 in your prospecting action. Also, if you refer to BMSite maps as I have suggested, you can find the precise spots where to find the materials yourself. Other than that, you can, as Bittymacod has done below, add a few new spots where you found the mission materials. Of course I won't be able to write all of them down or this post will be too long. It is already a hefty read. :o) But I DO encourage you to add your spots as bittymacod did below and I will add links to your posts in here. Thank you.

I will add new rites as I complete them. Please tell me if there are english grammar errors, mistypes and/or content omissions that could be useful. Keep in mind the objective is not to give a detailed information but a step by step type approach.

Thank you!

Thanks Main !

Guide worked great in helping me knock off the Fyros Weapons Rite tonight. :)

This is great! What happens if you don't complete a mission in the time allotted? Can you retry?

#5 Report | Quote[en]

yes you can redo it but you will lose the progress you have so far, so if you finished making a few items but not all, you still have to make all of them again- and it has to be at the right time of day for those missions that have special requirements

Thank you very much! Your comments are much appreciated. :)
Note: I took off the links to the other similar guides because they were errroneous in some aspects (sending you to the wrong NPC for a mission, etc.) because I felt it might be confusing to get conflicting guides. If you wish me to put them back then I will.

Cheers and happy questing!

thanks main, it's a shame that only 12 of the 20 entries in my encyclopedia can be completed, but perhaps i'll discover the missions missing from the post i made about entries, honestly, the dev's should speak up if there's more then 12, because from everyone i talk to, it's just 12 that are know to be completable, and if there is someone that knows more, they should speak up, unless they're selfish that is, then they can follow the silan matis npc way and be like so many, when i did the jewel rite in matis i though, look another npc like in silan, but she save's herself in the end, so while she starts out just like our siland rep does, in the end she is more polite (a little bit, and she give's you back the dappers btw)

also, i noticed in my system info that when i completed the rite i "learn increase focus 4" so that leads me to believe there should be more then just the two focus boosting rites in matis to do, am i not seeing it here that there are more? (or is that part of the broken rites, i wonder, again only the dev's could really tell us [should be noted that other games "leak" this type of information to ensure that players don't give up when they hit the brickwall])

just my two dappers and my thanks for all the hard work you've put into this guide.

After I finish one in Autumn, today most likely, I have to add the two Kitin Lair ones about kitins and Kizoars, I've heard about. Once that is done, I was thinking to add all the Encyclopedia Entries by going to the appropriate NPCs and adding them as future rites when they are completed by the devs. But if you have such a list I'd appreciate you adding it here. I could copy and get the new ones if any so all the info is in one place. :)

Thanks for your input and valuable help. :)

If you look at BallisticMystix site the encyclopedia has 51 entries that amount to 51 rites and prerequisite missions. Many of those, you can do the prerequisite missions only. The rite isn't available yet.

main somewhere in the forums there's a post i started about the rite's both completable and the incomplete, i'll take screen shot's of each encyclopedia entry i have (with and without any missions done yet, some are blank, some are not, and i'll create a zip of them, if you want i can then send that zip to you via CeB, since that's fast and easy)

thanks again main, now i've got all the matis rites done :)

next time it'll be zora i do. (dig rite is first on my list)

zorai rite for +50 sap says "you learned increase sap 4" when you complete it. (system info)

guess all those broken rites would be increased sap 1, 2, and 3.

i'll keep watching each time i do a rite, so we can find out how many broken rites would really be nice to have.

the two source damage one's are 1 and 2, so those are the only two for that, but the focus and the sap seams to be missing a few because of the numbers we learn based on system info's data.

I just did the Tryker harvesting rite and found that many of the materials locations were NOT correct for the last portion of the rite. Locations were correct for the first portions.

I have put the correct ones under the spoiler tag so that the person maintaining this post can shift them to the correct part of the main post.

This list is missing the Kitin Lair rites, Kizoar and Kincher.

Also, word of advice on Kincher: there is a known bug where you receive the report and a q4 phial after talking to Dixie Keale. She tells you to talk with Ana Ryon again and give the report, however the mission vanishes from the log.

It works correctly for most people, but if it happens to you it's quite frustrating .. after you spent some hours collecting kincher saliva (or poop, not sure yet). So .. beware and go in prepared for failure?

i'll let main know about that bittty, i used the bm site to find the mats for those missions, as i think did mainpixles.

MJ mainpixles did not listed those two yet because he's not started those, but they are planned to be added to the list in the future.

off topic:

also i would like to thank both of you for your time to report these points, it's nice to see that others are willing to help the cookies out with these projects, i plan to create an alignment guide for players, with the spoilers for those, since so many players would rather not use the current method of trial and error (which i will use to get the information for my spoilers) my guide will be for all factions and civ's, mara, kami, karavan, fyros, tryker, matis, zorai. it will have a spoiler tag for each one and will be posted in the general forums. i believe that one of the reasons the forums are not used more is that most of the really useful information is not found on the forums but on other sites, the "spoiler" tag is enough to make it a good addition to the forums.

if anyone would like to lend me a hand with my project please send me ingame mail with your contribution and if you want "credit" for your part please tell me in your mail, if you wish to remain anonymous simply don't put in that you would like credit, i know some players will help me if they are not named, and i will respect someone's wish for privacy.
