ok this is exactly what i get when i click on connect on any account i have (a few):

getting file: ryzom_00610.idx

followed by the next msg given:

checking file endd with errors: curl download failed: (ec 7 0)

my client was fine until this, even tried to log in with an alt through the same client install (i have about 40GB of ryzom :) as another running toon, and though the client is running already, it failed to load the second account (better to use different installs for each alt account really :)

now i fear when i log or get disconnected i'll not be able to play the game at all, and that's a waste of money :)

I'm not quite sure what you're saying about the other toon. There is a known bug that doesn't allow us to switch toons without completely re-logging.

If you have more than one install of ryzom, have you tried a different install folder? It sounds to me as if there is a corrupt file in the install, or possibly a corrupt file on that account (which would be bad).

Have you tried a re-install?

i had this happen to me earlier on my windows build, i keep extra copies (thanks tiximei for the suggestion) of a clean ryzom boot , so i ran the copy and the same error occurred (should not be possible unless its a problem on the server side of things)

to get around it im playing on linux, i have not tried my windows build since a few hours ago when it happened, im glad its not just me!

You could try to go to the unpack folder in your ryzom directory and move the ryzom_00610.idx there to your desktop (temporary) to see if that fixes the problem

But before that check the checksum + size of your local file - mine is:
MD5: 89e0e4de21ffbd8e4e872d698fa40d33
SHA-1: 4d4785153a09ed3cacab2b0c64725b4919583cc6
Size: 32308 Bytes

If you don't have a tool to get checksums already just google for one or get this one from microsoft which isn't really the best choice in regards of usability http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11533 (but at least a somewhat trustworthy source)
