irfidel, i don't carry my forum feelings into game ever if i can help it, here we talk and discuss things, in game we work together to a common goal of getting xp and helping one another, i'll always call on you if needed and if i'm needed then feel free to call on me, i'm working on making changes to my spoiler, and i'm glad that you started a new post, i didn't want to keep the 100% at the top of the list, just have it fall into the depths where they would have to use some key words to search it up, or so that my fellow players that like to help others can tell a newer player what author name and a key word or two to search the forum to find the answer, thus teaching them that if they look here they may find answers to questions. but that it still required some work.

i have no desire to keep that post bumped to the top, in fact i would like to see no more discussion on that thread it's self, but welcome the topic's discussion an another thread (like this one, which i must say has saved the 100% from being hit as much or posted on as much, and as for other games, i can't say for mmo's but for client only or limited multi-player games yes you could find spoilers, easter eggs, trainers, cheats, walk throughs, faq's and many other things, and the more complex the game was, the more the wealth of knowlage was shared, to keep players going when the "end" was reached sometimes would be a good use of those.)

anyway, just wanted to drop another 2 dappers here.

to all my friends, i'm still the same guy, just that i felt at least getting it somewhere in the pile of forum posts to collect digital dust until someone seeks to read it would be a nice thing to do.

Re RP-spoiler:
I'd like to get a clarification on what this actually is? I can understand if players don't want spoilers about future developments, leaked by CSRs or members of the Eventteam. I feel the same way. However, do you consider historical writeups to be spoilers as well? From the discussion until now this is unclear to me, and I think Jarnys asks this as well.

Actually I wasn't asking about it. It was more a remark regarding the companies/event team's future choices in regards to RP.

The Ryzom bible (mentioned before) gives, among others, some background on how the Karavan came to Atys and what their real goal is - this is not something the Homins are able to know and thus a spoiler (afaik they never told any homin about it)
The bible was leaked when Nevrax had to close doors... in the meantime there was Gameforge and now there is Winchgate, and I'm very sure that they've both made some changes to the background - so nobody knows if the Ryzom bible still holds true or not (except for WG and the Event-Team)

Karu, that's wonderful! Talk about things I didn't know were there.

I was going to also suggest a link to a fan website as a way to make spoilers less intrusive. It's really easy to build simple websites or blog pages and post links. Bmsite is one large spoiler to one extent or another, but you don't have to start out with that much organization. On the other hand I thank Karu for continually updating it.

@Karu and all:
I think that's the ultimate and easiest solution to this thread. Thank you so much for finding it and teaching us :)

I guess what remains is that we need to make this info readily available to all users.

Dear CSRs: Can we change the forum software to offer the spoiler tag somewhere next to the Textedit field in a way that it's self explanatory and easily visible?

If you toggle the wysiwyg editor it's the warning symbol left to the clock, right to the indent
If you look at the bbCode list it's the last entry

Hi Jarnys: And again thanks for that. Believe it or not, I think I've never enabled the wysiwyg editor. And - shame on me - I never really bothered to get used to the bbcodes. There's just too many forums with too many different codes for me. Which makes it even more weird, I never even considered clicking on the wysiwyg link.
