IDEAS FOR RYZOM

Maybe many people will agree with me. Homins are persons who speak no so much, but they shout when are fighting. When my avatar shouts, what I hear is a Fyros, not a Tryker battling. Why Ryzom do not have more voices shouts? Please add more voices (what about ten or 20 different voice tones?) and leave players choose which will be their new voice (and add an option in the Character Creation screen).

I also noticed that weather have no sound effects, I see drops falling, but no sound of impact against the floor, the roof of some building (inside or outside of that building) or against Atys' flora. May can you add more weather sound effects?

cheers!

«But my belief that miracles have happened in human history is not a mystical belief at all; I believe in them upon human evidences as I do in the discovery of America. Upon this point there is a simple logical fact that only requires to be stated and cleared up. Somehow or other an extraordinary idea has arisen that the disbelievers in miracles consider them coldly and fairly, while believers in miracles accept them only in connection with some dogma. The fact is quite the other way. The believers in miracles accept them (rightly or wrongly) because they have evidence for them. The disbelievers in miracles deny them (rightly or wrongly) because they have a doctrine against them. ...» ~G.K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy cont. http://tj-markdown-paste.herokuapp.com/posts/354428

Actually the weather does have sound FX.  The wind rushes in the trees during a storm, and the drops hit the ground either heavily or gently and barely audible.  When rain changes to snow the rain sound stops.

As for the sound of rain on a roof, that would get very complex as it would depend on the weather and on the sound environment of the building.  Unlikely to happen unless some open-source coder decides to work on it. :)
