i agree about current named spawn points being camped by some, but the problem will only get worse if the time is increased, the real solution is to add MANY more spawn points, thus forcing players to once again "hunt" the named down, since manda in void was already used as an example i'll continue with her. manda have 2 spawn points that i know of, so if a player waits at one of the two long enough, they'll get her, camping becomes impossible if manda has 10 spawn points, and they are randomly used. with more spawn points there will once again be the need to "hunt" her again, vs just waiting at a site.

if they increase the time between spawns, then people will simply camp known spawn points even more, because you will then cause people to feel that because it's harder to get the mat's there's a larger need to stockpile them. i personally have killed manda enough to have a stock pile to suit my needs completely, often now i kill manda and give away the loot to others, once you change the respawn time, i won't feel it's a good idea to be so generous because i'll have to spend more time collecting the mats, so IMHO your only going to make things worse with the respawn time increase, try doing something that won't make the need to farm increase, but will promote more game play and effort (such as more respawn points).

just my two dappers on that note.

further more, i was a supporter of a more random respawn time, in fact i believe i started a idea's thread for that, but ONLY for the bosses that have a long respawn time, not the named mobs, and my idea was to let the amount of time be in scale to the Q of the loot dropped, so a Q70 boss would spawn in 24 hours +/- 4 hours, and a Q270 boss would spawn in 72 hours +/- 4 hours.

so it's nice to see something coming from the idea's forum, but perhaps there are far more important things to work on right now with bug's and such, rather then changing the status of things that already work.

but that's just my 2 dappers.

i'd elaborate a better post, explaining my view, but english is not my main language and im rly not in the mood to think how to write and do a good/fair post, but i'd like to give my 2 dappers anyway, so , in 1 topic and just about the named spawn:

- I dont see 'camping' as an issue, as long as its 'fair'.  by fair I mean, if you want to spend your time waiting for a boss to spawn, go for it, and be rewarded for it. i know you are human and you'll get tired and get off when you're done with your objective, whatever it is. named bosses spawn very frequently, so, if a spawn is camped at some time you can always check back later or ask to share.

I know im no autority, but I think that gameplay changes are risky. The players know how the game works and are still here because overall, it suits everyone here. Changing something without rly undestanding it might backfire, so, I just ask (and hope) that all changes have a good amount of dedication and tought before they go live.

New content is a totally different matter. If you make something new and its good, everyone wins. If it sucks, well, Ill still be here because what I like to do is still there.

Ok, this is getting bigger then i wanted....

-more new content, less game changes plz (my personal view, no need to argue)

But this starting discussion shows that the new "dev roadmap app" requires another feature: Each item could have a link into an idea thread on the forums, so that we can discuss it there.

For those ideas that have been suggested by players it would be a nice recognition for the authors if said link would point to the original idea thread.

This is a good idea and it will be added soon.
