Not sure if people will be that interested, but thought I'd post anyway :)

I'm revisiting Ryzom and decided to record my 'adventures'. The video isn't great, but will hopefully improve the more comfortable I get with the sound of my own voice. Anyway, here it is...

Just a quick update... If anyone is interested there's a new short vid up. It's not great, but I'm making progress ;)

I like it. You are doing a good job :-)

What i particularly like is your voice. Sometimes you get a lil silent but it's fine. Consider using a compressor or limiter audio filter to reduce microphone pops and always get the same volume of speech.

The visual part is fine... despite: you did record all your vids during ingame night time. In Ryzom it's night every 72 minutes for approximately 15 minutes. You could wait until there is better lighting inside ryzom itself during ingame daytime.

And finally... you are doing a lot of black screens or transitions over a black frame. This makes the vid even darker and in some places you could replace the black screen by accelerating video time (fast forward... for example when you run up to your mission target).

I'm not suggesting you use fancy sliding fading dissolving transitions, they are quite 1990. Just think about replacing some of your black screens and cuts with fast-forward and/or you can explain or tell things while you are walking somewhere.

Thanks for the feedback! Was trying to find ways to fit the vids into 10 mins so was using transitions, but I'll give the time acceleration a punt see how it goes.

I am realising I am a bit quiet at times, probably need to think a little more in advance... or drink more wine ;)
