Sawdust and an invitation to travel...
oren pyr, my dear children,

I have never been really here for you, but you must know of my unlimited taste for adventure in far lands...

There is no real excuse for my long and repeated absences, but I hope that you will understand, through the writings in this travel diary, the reasons that lead me to every corner of Atys.

Be sure, though, that I am constantly thinking about you.

sharükos pyrèkud!

Diomomus shook the picture-filled little notebook again to get rid of the sawdust that covered it.

The Fyros had no idea how the book had come to be in a corner of his barracks, but judging by the thickness of the sawdust that covered it, it had been there for many cycles.

Diomomus let his memories fill his thoughts. He and his brothers and sisters were sorry they had never known their father, but they also all admired. Going through dangers to discover the hidden charms of Atys in remote locations showed courage worthy of a Fyros!

An idea soon emerged in the mind of Diomomus. His excitement quickly convinced his brothers and sisters and their goal was clear: Walk in the footsteps of their father and get to know him better!

The first stage of the expedition: Finding the correct mount...

The Prince's Bride

Thoughtfully Ba-Ben Len searched her old documents, the ones she had been able to bring with her to safety despite the haste during the exodus of the Second Great Swarming.
The Refugee Days were approaching quickly. But had she already gotten so old that her eyes deceived her? She has seen it clearly! A white Gubani that nibbled on the spring buds on the bushes beside the lake.
Ba-Ben Len wrote briefly, folded her parchment, bound it to the leg of an izam and sent it on its voyage to her old friend Ailan Mac'Kean.

"Dear Ailan,
I hope you are well and you are enjoying the contemplative Refugee Days. For me it is a very reflective time of remembrance of good days on Atys. Ailan, my eyes are getting cloudy and my mind is sometimes filled with fatigue. I have seen something too strange for me to believe.
That's why I have a request for you, dear friend. Could you please ask a Ranger and some homins to look for unusual animals in the Enchanted Isle? I will look through my documents and see if I can find some useful information which could help.
Cordially and in friendship,
Ba-Ben Len"

(ooc: Meeting is at Sunday, 31 March 2013 19:00:00 UTC (1 decade ago) at the Fairhaven Stables. It will be a moderately short Storytelling Event with some action.)
