Translation of a post by Kiwalie, all mistakes mine

Some time passed since the second swarm, we lost many of our brothers and friends and our hearts are still bruised.
While most of the kitins have disappeared, the threat remains present, while the goo continues threatening our lives and a growing number of marauders is attacking travelers on theyr journeys.

So now is time for the Tenants (from Aniro: neutrals by state and religions with high positive civ and cult fame) and particularly for Ranger aspirants to meet in order to decide the best way to fight against these scourges.

I'll await you (ooc: March 15 to 21 Hours) in the Ranger Camp in Almati, if like me you like our bark come to join the ranks of the Rangers in large numbers.

Short remark about one of the results of the assembly:
The rangers are about to create potions to control termites. Those creatures shall be used to remove the kitin mounds having served as bridgeheads for the second great swarming.

To create the potions, the rangers need
4000 pha amber
4000 enola sap
4000 dry saw dust (mission material)

Quality and grade do not matter. The mats may be given to a ranger NPC (named ranger) in the ranger camp in Almati forest during the coming 15 days. To ease access to Almati, which lost reliability since the swarming, a special transport has been set up at Yrkanis (ooc: NH transporter of Yrkanis).

Neutrals? So you cant have ranger kami//kara?
Looking at it from a roleplay aspect the only thing needed to be a ranger should be willingness to fight the kitins. Why are kami/kara being excluded?

While I cannot speak for the rangers (the setup of the organization is up to devs and event team) it is obvious that Kami and Kara cannot have positive fame of the opposite religion, the best is 0 as far as I know. If I understood correctly, one must have positive fame in both creeds and all 4 nations to become a full member of the organization. A preliminary status as a Rangers' patroller will be possible for those who do not fulfill these requirements as I understood.

While I agreee with Daomei's analysis in rough, I would point out that conversion to Kami Acolyte or Karavan Disciple caps the opposite's faction fame at -50, not zero.  The Ranger's mission is not just to Fight the Kitin and the Goo, but also to support all of Hominity on Atys. They must be able to be welcomed into the courts of all nations and by the priests of both Powers in order to perform their missions.

As Wilk Potskin said at the gathering in Almati Wood:

"The main objective for Rangers is to protect Homins from Kitin. However, we have many other activities and missions:

Rangers are continuously patrolling Atys to watch out for Kitins activities, but dealing with nations and powers is also important. These are some of the missions rangers have to achieve."

My understanding is that the way of a Ranger is not meant to be easy.  Clearly a homin might hold in his heart the worship of Jena or Ma-Duk, but if they cannot treat equally and kindly with all, and be known by all to be of good character and honest demeanor, not only to the Powers but to all homins of every race, then they can't be a Ranger. They might be a Patroller, but not a Ranger.

As Wilk said a bit later when asked about the Marauders:

"As long as they help us to fight Kitins, they are we will accept their help. As I said, we are allies with Nations and are supported by Powers. We will not tolerate their actions if it badly affects our fight against Kitin."

Clearly a Marauder cannot become a Ranger, but *any* homin can assist in beating back the Kitin, looking for ways to defeat the Goo, and making sure that all homins have a place on Atys.

This is my understanding from the meeting.  If I have erred in reporting or interpreting the words of Wilk Potskin, then such error is on my head.

(OOC/HRP) As of 23:07 GMT  The Ranger was present in Almati Wood and had collected:

Pha Amber: 1740/4000
Enola Sap: 4131/4000 -- not accepting more
Dry Sawdust: 3046/4000

There is also apparently a bug that the Ranger will not accept Basic Pha (at least), so dig them mats at Choice or better.

Thank you- I hope rangers are allowed to be civ/faction aligned and of course marauders shouldn't be allowed. One could argue someone with 100 fyros fame holds more desire to protect his land than any neutral could ever hold.

And deliveries have all been made.  The Rangers have all the supplies they need for the moment.  The final delivery of Pha amber was made by Naema.

Wow. These deliveries always happen so quickly, it's hard to make a contribution :-)

Well, in my opinion they set a ridiculously low amount.  I'm sure that future ones will not be so easy.

Summary: Wilk Potskin acknowledged the delivery of the resources and was impressed by the speed of fulfilling the mission. Yet possibly further resources may be needed for the potions planned by Daeronn. Wilk will participate at the upcoming meeting of the Rangers and reveal plans for future actions.

Having received an izam message from Kiwalie, Daomei fixes a note

After having received a message from Wilk Potskin i hereby shift the date for the next assembly to April 22, 21h UTC at Almati forest Ranger camp as usual. Our ranger friend has been called to an urgent task concerning the Kitins.
