well the vote is what really counts FF, cause that's where it really speaks, and the fact that i post alot, means that i'm no quitter and won't just fold under because not many others have the nerve to speak up.

still large amount of desire for this as well, the poll speaks volumes about the topic.

I tend to take unique posts more seriously than a poll....not much thought needs to go into a single click.

I don't know how many peeps thot it was a good idea and then later, as i did, saw more downsides than upsides.

I watched Penn and Teller collect 100s of signatures on a petition to ban Di-Hydrogen Monoxide in beverages and other uses....

I don't know how many votes are from peeps who are still here.... I do kno the numbers aren't changing.

In a recent discussion you mentioned your large alt army .... the idea of that many alts with vastly larger storage capacity is somthing I find alarming given other current issues on the board. Strong guilds with many players with multiple alts .... sitting waiting for sups to pop while thinking of 10's of thousands of unused sups sitting bing hoarded in storage all over Atys is sumthin I think many peeps find disturbing.

I agree Freddy - at least the hoarders have to stop and transport stuff - to slow them down a little

for the horaders i agree, but my alt's are a stop gap for items and keepsakes i have, not mats (while i'm not a mat collector, i'm sure there are some out there) but i've also seen people that started on the no side come to the yes side, because as these items we want to save for purely sentimental reasons grow in number, our storage of other items we use (or collect for later use) grows smaller. (later use implies armors, jewels, weapons, picks, crafting tools, cat's saved for new f2p players, egg's, ect)

i see reasons to have more need for good valid reasons, after all merchants are a storage system of sorts, why not just allow that to be used for serious selling, and cure the storage issue with more room for stuff in apt's and gh's? (most of that stuff is for craft grinds, which is of little long term value beyond craft xp)

Well Devs took care of the "sentimental" stuff for me by wiping all such possessions with merge. My original no requirements LA set, my "haddo Jools", my 1st boosted HA set, all the event stuff, 3 sets of crafted NPC armor, 1 each of the dropped sets, 1 complete set of uber weapons crafted by Alegra. And I had all this on one account ... the alts of which didn't even have apartments. Had one alt GH which primarily stored supreme HA TIGS boost fails which when I had a full set gave away or used as a contest prize.

i have considered something simpler and fair (i think) what if an apt had the bulk of a guild hall (20k bulk) and a guild hall could have 200k bulk, surely that would cover the largest guild on the server.

73.1% of the voters agree that some upgrade in apartment bulk is desired, and the previous polls from the old forums so similar numbers.

i've learned that it would be rather hard to add the original idea of purchasable bulk upgrades, there would be too much coding involved as it's not handled by ark.

as a result of the above fact i'd like to propose that an apartment bulk be doubled from it's current amount of 2000 to 4000, while this isn't the amount i would really like to have, it would be better then nothing at all.

a similar idea is listed as "under study", that was quite some time ago, and in just a short time asking questions on IRC channels that a change from xxxx to xxxx would be fairly easy, but not a system to buy more and more as i wanted to start with.

Whwn it comes to resource management, it always has tobe implemented in a manner that allows one to have enough storage for items they need ... versus items they don't really need and which can be exploited.

- Do we ant the game to permit the storage of 10,000 eggs?
- Do we ant the game to permit the storage of 100,000 sap rystals ?

I remember before merge,Mistaey and I were nearing the usefil life of our HA and IIRC, we were weew waiting on weather to dig silverweed. I was in my max parry gear, taking the occassional vorax for a walk around the block when they arrived so Misa could dig in peace. Another player had arrived about 5minutes before pop time dragging an aggro Vorax fom "outta town". I put it on a leash and ran in circles around the nearby OP while Misa rez'd the guy and invited him to team.

A minute or so into dig time, a vorax wandered over and killed Misa, I dragged the Vorax offher and took for a walk. He propsetced , walked over her dead body and dig out the sups. Since this was before enchants, nothing I could do for Misa so I ran off and lost aggro came back and rez'd her.

The thing is, while we were waiting, he told us that he had two solo guilds, tfor him and his alt on same account. Both GHs were filled to the max with ONLY sups.

It's not that one could ever use up all those resources with just 2 folks, it was all about keeping them from other players. I don't think the game should permit that,


The implementation of the storage box idea provides the solution to this problem.. provide umlimited storage for uniquie items... Wither had armor racks where you could display yoiur gear... Ryzom lets us have all the apartment items we want... do the same from clothes (storage for lingerie and shirts) . Have storage boxes or shelves for pliushies.

But craft mats, gear, etc involving the ability to affect gameplay ... no, that should be limited. As to what level ... that I don't even want to delve into.
