ok so here's a thought to go along with this, could be options to give the upgrade path

allow a player to buy one apt in each land, the inventory should be linked (up to 8k bulk)

allow a player to buy one apt in each city of a land, the inventory should be linked (total of 10k bulk)

allow a player to buy 5 (five) apt's in EACH land, all linked together through-out (up to 40k total)


each of these options would require you buy one in the capital of each land.
these are some valid options, it's not too insane for these numbers, i think this would be valid, the cost is there to help curb usage.

it's very clear that bulk and slot's are importiant to a large number of the player base, i'm not the only one.  i'm true to my word that: I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON THIS PATH BECAUSE IT IS A VALID REQUEST!! (nay say all you want, it's clear that more of us want it then are against it, even historically proven with the old forum's poll)

ya know, this shouldn't be that hard to do, based on some reliable sources i've spoken with, it's not something that would take much work or effort to really offer us.  (when i have 1m bulk and 50k slot's in my apt i'll shut up about this, till then, the talk will not give up.)

well then, i can sure say that customer satisfaction really isn't that big a deal to the company. regardless i won't stop trying until the server goes down for good. i also like to look at the majority of people that think positive, and focus less on the negative minority involved (because they don't have to use it).

also, quitters never get anything, but those that refuse to give in or give up may one day persevere.

That was meant to imply that perhaps you should ask for something else good rather than concentrating on something that while popular may have negative game balance issues that cause it to be rejected. For instance people have been asking for their fires back for some time and it now appears that they will be getting them soon.

due to the number of recent post i want the information to the one that mattered quoted below to ensure it's seen by those that matter.

bittty, i really must laugh at the whole "game balance" excuse, how in the blue blazes will giving more storage unbalance the game?? i guess me having 100 alt f2p accounts for storage of this or that would be better on the server? 100's of extra databases to waste space.... i'll not bother, but if your not in favor, or a dev, why are you still knocking this idea, are you afraid that we might get it? why more often then not are you negative about ideas that are optional content and could in no way harm everyday gameplay of anyone?
what do you know that we don't, other then what we really want doesn't matter and we're paying just to be ignored for years... yet another reason the population of the game is going down, because we're always given the shaft, and if that's not enough, then here you are knocking those of us that keep trying to ask for things.

Well, I know that I am now, after two years, getting a few bits of OP mats. I suspect if GH's had tons more storage, I wouldn't.

The point of limited GH/apt storage is to encourage people to *think* about what they really need to keep. At some point the alt storage becomes more trouble than it's worth and so good (but not mission-critical to the guild in question) mats come onto the market, either for sale or for trade. If I were a dev (and I am not), I would regard this as a *good* thing, but I wouldn't go about advertising the fact either, if only because of the tendency of players everywhere to work to the frustration of the plans of devs.

So, from my selfish point of view I am in favor of my getting good stuff. In terms of other players who are not part of powerful guilds getting good stuff, I'm in favor of that also. I fight with the question of allocation of good stuff to GH storage or not all the time as an HO of Phaedrea's Tears. I'd love to have just a little extra storage. However, it is good for me to have to make choices as well.

The dev / event / support teams (to judge by some other posts) are even fewer than I thought. If one has to communicate in 3 > 5 languages and make it come out the same in all of them in terms of "official pronouncements", it's going to take a long time to generate those pronouncements and they are going to be relatively few and far between.

and that's where your wrong, it was, on the forums for a bit, on IRC and CeB a large amount, by one player i know for sure: subox, i know because i supported sub's efforts to not give up, much like he supports mine to not give up.

To continue my thoughts. I often, I guess, sound "negative" on suggestions because I don't see them as being either 1) important or 2) well thought out or 3) both. I'd like to see the various teams working more on new events and development of the world than on more storage.

Look at what we have gotten recently. Fires are coming, we are told. We have the Pathfinder missions that have given high fame neutrals four extra ways to get to the surface high level areas. Those are supposed to be part of the Ranger training, but they aren't being restricted except by Fame. Recently the Mara got their cosmetologists and at least theoretical guards. A white kitin was captured (with the aid of the Event Team) and a mission set up to feed it. So, the teams *are* working, they just aren't working on the projects *you* want them to be working on, and they aren't working fast. Given the small number of people on the teams (as reported) it's a miracle *anything* gets done. Given that same small number of people, it's obvious why they don't advertise a lot of things until they are ready or almost ready; vapor ware is worse than silence.

Then we have an apparently large amount of work on the 10th Anniv. celebration and on Anlor Winn and on Yubo golf (which was a recent suggestion by Zakkk on the IRC). Clearly someone thought Yubo Golf would be a fantastically fun thing and took it as a project. Someone else thought that we should have a fancy blow-out for 10th Anniv. and Goki did a lot of work to make it happen. I'm not sure about the effort for Anlor Winn, but someone created pumpkin circles, and clearly the Event Team enjoys playing spirits.

This shows me that the team will put in work on the things *they* enjoy/think are important. Since they aren't paid, I can't fault them.

The differences in our viewpoints may simply be that I (IRL) am older than you and have worked on my share of large projects with low numbers of volunteer workers, and therefore that I am more sympathetic to the team members.

sorry didn't realize you were mid thought, i forget that in-game forum posts are limited in size (why i always use browser). i guess the one thing i want to portray is that i'm not trying to force them to do it right now, but i'm also unwilling to let it rest so it can be forgotten or overlooked, i'm sorry that your just now getting OP mat's, but believe me it's not because guilds are out of space to store them. it's because some guilds are finally getting to see that the older ways of not sharing are not as effective (imho). to be honest i'd like to see merchants that sell ALL mat's and the more "special" the mat, the higher the cost, but there's nay-sayers on that idea too saying it would make OP's worthless (i feel it would turn them into a more pvp related item then, and less about the mat's, but mat's would still be a perk to owning one)

i've listed many possible paths for the upgrades, costs, and have not given up that sooner or later i will get at least something along the lines of what i'm asking for. as it stands now, i have items i want to keep just because of who made them, and what they wrote on them when they gave them to me, many of these players don't play anymore. sure i lost things at the merger that couldn't be replaced, but that happened to everyone. what's wrong with me wanting to keep things from players like tynee or firstdo, without having to give up space i can use for things that i actually will use up.

like i've said before, when i get that crazy bulk (1m) and crazy slot's (50k) i'll stop bringing this up so much (i can't abandon those that wanted it as well, unless someone else wanted to take the torch to keep light on this, but i don't see any of the above happening) i'm trying hard to be a man of my word and keep the light on this post, i'm trying to be a voice for over 70% of the players reading the forums and voting (and like RL if you don't vote, don't complain; i know you voted so your welcome to complain :)

anyway, i hope that one day we'll get this, and there will be a sharp decline in alt's being used for storage.

Just one thing - if the answer is a final, unchangeable, resounding "no", make it clear by stating that. Boom, problem solved, whenever people bring up the subject you can just point them to the moment the idea was officially rejected.

Until then, part of the frustration is that there's NO feedback on ideas.
