IDEAS FOR RYZOM

What about starting some sort of buddy program for Ryzom. Many games have such program, and so far it has proved itself as being quite effective way of promotion. I'm not sure how exactly this should be implemented, here is just an example. Each subscribed account gets three unique reference codes. The owner of account may hand these codes to any other person. Once this person goes to subscribe new account, there is an option popping up asking to enter the reference code. If the code is entered and accepted and new account is subscribed, the referenced account gets 30 days of free playing time and characters on the buddy's account get some bonus. I don't think that should be armor or weapons, as those get overgrown fast. But every newcomer finds out that lots of inevitable grind must be done in order to succeed, so maybe make their first steps on mainland a bit easier? Like giving them one free packer as a bonus for reference code, or discount for appartment, or just extra dappers?

And if you run out of reference codes, you may contact support team to get more.

This is easy to implement and this addition should give some boost to the population.

I think this is a great idea to spread the joy of playing ryzom and now for the holidays even better. A buddy key that each sub account can give a friend, family, stranger to enjoy the game with no restrictions for a month. Nothing beats dlb XP and only sub accounts can get that. I'm not sold on the idea of extra dappers, or apartment discount, or free packer, as an extra incentive with buddy keys. But a buddy key with no restrictions for 30 days (one Month) that sub accounts can give away as gifts this holiday is a great idea.

just like if you can get 100 Subs then you can have full access for free (1% per Homin you bring into the Atys' and that subs, thereby supporting the Universe of the Ryzom)

...or maybe not fully for free, but at leik I discounted depending upon how many Free Homins you have converted it into Sub Homins
and then give one month for free (first one obviously) and the in-game bonuses to the Homin that Subs with for with a code (only need one unique code per Homin to give away / hands out)

because if you have already been playing for long enough then any of those bonuses that you mentionsed are kindof worthless (unless it's just like "double perma cats" for a week/month or something just like that)

Dappers are way too easy for me to make (even jsut fomr Corporal Missions)
