I crash about 60% of them time when I port then have to wait several minutes to log back on to the server. Is anyone working on this problem?

I had the same problem after patching to the newest version...running on Linux. I had to start turning off my sound before using TPs. That stopped the crashes. 60% sounds about right too. Game was nearly unplayable until I figured it out.

Have not noticed any such problem.  If it's OS based, here is my information:

Win 7 client, NVIDIA graphics runing OpenGL.

Just to help on any OS suspicions: Game works fine for me (very rare crashes) on
- Ubuntu 12.04 & 12.10, intel Sandybridge CPU, NVidia gfx
- Ubuntu 12.10 intel Westmere CPU & integrated gfx, Toshiba Portege r700 laptop (gfx crashed on Ubuntu 12.04, worked on earlier Ubuntus)
- Win7 on the same Portege r700 laptop

All before and after the patch. Sound is on in all setups.

Turned off the sound in the game settings, now I'm crash free for 3 days. :) Using a Macbook Pro Retina w/ Mac OS 10.8.2

I've been having sound issues relating to crashing too, on Mint 13. Sometimes when porting to a capital (but not always) the music one hears when entering hangs. Disabling/restarting the sound in the options menu fixes that, but very rarely (and almost always when teleporting into Zora for some reason) will I just flat-out C2D.

This looks like a new issue with the OpenAL buffer streaming...
Perhaps it's failing to allocate memory for the streaming buffers, and the implementation may be ignoring that. Very unusual, though, since these are small buffers.
Could you share your system specifications, and more specifically your system's sound configuration?
Also, since which version did the issue start?

The hanging of the music, I know this happened in a very old version, but that was fixed too.
I can't confirm whether the bug is related to the current code, though, since I don't have access anymore to WG's private branch. They might've messed up their merging again and reverted stuff...

Yesterday moving things in and out of Guildhall / Packer / Apartment had 5 crashes / disconnects in 40 mins. About one in three times I go through a door. Each time I relogged I wake up by the Kipuka Plain portal and it costs me a TP to get back.

This is an old problem and I really hope it is being fixed.

System info: 24" iMac running OS X 10.6.8, Ryzom version 2.0.0 patch 1.13
