Them damn Javings... I used to call them "Flying Trashbags" because of their torn-up wings and after many deaths of getting disarmed and having my perfectly tanned Fyros butt handed to me, I'd nuke every single one I saw on my way to the Ruins of Silan and I called that game "Drop Dead, Javings".

Also, my first trek to Thesos with Beau cost me quite a few DPs in Sawdust Mines trying to recover my mount I fell off from on that first hill covered in aggro you see when you get off the bridge. And then I lost said mount in Hidden Source because a yelk farted too close to it. Sirgio's guys got me good too...

The first DP was dying to a yubo in old starter island. But the one that stands out to me from those early days was when I tried to collect PR teleports in AoI. In those days the KP was active and it was quite difficult to be anywhere in PR for more than a minute without getting spotted and attacked by kitins. I actually found the incident on the old forums, it's a good read (if you like to have a look), and such a nice memory, brings tears to my eyes just reading it because many of those reknown homins are no longer with us. Some of you might even recognized some of them.

I remeber your repeated attempts to get thru US into Jungle (before the new portal) when they 1st opened PR and due to tons of determination you got thru. Then about a week later soemthing broke and there were no mobs in PR and lotta othe rplayers snuck thru ..... "was piece of pie .... easy as cake"

My favourite death has to belong to a new player we were trekking from Zora to FH. As we just arrived through the BB portal he posted in team chat "OHHHH THEY ARE SOOO CUTE!!". I turn around to see him run headfirst into 20 cutes.. *rez please*

Many many moons ago, as a young homin, Minou and comrade were looking for some psykoplas to level up their skills.

We sent a /tell to Nayari, who said, "Well, I know here you can find some.. head over to this place called 'Pyskopla Hill' on your maps. There's a whole bunch of them there.".

Foolishly trusting her many moons on Atys before us, we head up the road from Yrkanis, doing our daily dog 'run/die/res each' other routine, Eventually making our way to the hill.

We pull out our weapons and merrily start bashing the psykoplas until nary a one is left.. then I turn and exclaim to my comrade "Hey! What's this pretty blue thing? It says its name is Bodokin", and we climb back down the hill to investigate.. neither one of us bothering to look back up on the hill.

Suddenly, we see our HP bars slowly but surely dropping.. "REZ Please!!!!!"

(Hoping I left this sufficiently vague as to not be a total spoiler for homins that don't know why you don't kill the plants on that hill).
