Multi Button Mouse troubles... - TECHNICAL SUPPORT / WEB APPs BUGS

Hello,
Recently I have been having trouble with my Logitech Performance Mouse MX. I have no trouble with the mouse on any other game. The mouse works fine on Ryzom when playing on my Mac but I recently got a new PC and only left and right click and zoom in and out seem to work. I have the latest drivers and I have tried the hardware mouse setting in the Ryzom options but nothing seems to happen. Anyone have any ideas?

You mean the 4 extra buttons?
Or the movement?

I've got no problem and except for the initial sync (where I installed the software but not the driver) I've never used the Logitech software for any Logitech Mouse (don't need the "weird" extra buttons) and thus far this caused me mostly to have far less problems in general than others...

My movement is fine. I do use the logitech software. I map the extra buttons to the number buttons so I can hit my stanzas quicker. Most of the time I can play just with the mouse (if I dont have to talk to anyone :) I can move and all just fine. Maybe I will try and uninstall the logitech software and see where that gets me but I dont think i will be able to map the keys without it. Thanks for the input.

PS if you play a lot of FPS's like battlefield or team fortress mapping the extra buttons to keys on your keyboard really speeds your game up. Switching weapons is very fast for me when I am running and gunning.

Yeah - that's true - the special mapping won't work without the software...
I never really used those mappings (never seen a use for them in the things I'm doing)

And FPS are not my kind of game so I don't play them really (except for the few ones that are not shooter only like Mass Effect)

And regarding talking while running/walking:
I'm usually on autorun for bigger distances and only change the direction with the mouse. While doing that it's no problem to talk to someone ;-)
And inside the cities in walkmode autorun is useable as well - though Pyr is very hard to manage if you're chatting while walking due to the many curves.
