The possibilities to get cats will be reduced drastically as the OPs will no longer produce them so only via the occupations, some quests and from the special Vendors in the future (and all of those need more work than the OPs)

We have had mergers of shards before -- they did not involve resetting characters. In fact Wayfarers was an addon to the merger of the US shard (iirc).

One would need to reset the OP's of course, but the toons???? WHY????

It is clear from the early offerings that the entire concept of life on Atys is intended to shift. My life here has always been about helping other homins and not bashing them over the head with something heavy. Now you bash all of the most dedicated homins over the head with something too heavy to bear.

If these changes go ahead, I will return to RL with a heavy heart, saddened by such ridiculous and ill conceived changes.

I have worked hard to develop a completely neutral, helpful character over the years and I can assure you that my subscription accounts will be closed, if these changes go ahead.

If a set of Marauder Armour is an example of the inducement to stay, then it is the best way to deter me from doing so. I have no interest in being given something which a few have worked hard to gain over the years and will now only be of benefit to PvP and kudos.

You are destroying the finest virtual life on the net

I had lots of wipes before, but the last one was almost 8 years ago. I don't have the time to really build a new living on atys, i am not a student anymore. I think it's frustrating to loose this opportunity to have a long term game where i can have some immediate endgame fun without any grinding effort.

I'll stick around and hope to see some of the good arispotle people again, it has been fun with you. But i'm really worried about the time i need to spend on it. On my recent new beginning on arispotle i saw how much time goes into grinding a toon up - and i did it when i had the time to do it. Though this time it will be more fun to start fresh, it still is a very hard one. It's not the same to grind for skills i already had.

I'm really afraid to loose a lot of good people on both servers i play on.

Yup tynee this seems like they are just laughing with the ppl that worked so hard for everything these past 8years.

The marauder armor is just to laugh at ppl that have worked hard here to get these and now you will be giving it away to the first boobs that will play your little games, pefetic!

Another point I wanna make is the keeping of the names will be on a first come first get basis wich is spitting in the face of us old players, atleast there should be a way to reserve our names + alt names + guild names.

This is a big mistake. Try and do another merger like Cho! With adding z's onto names where the names conflict and reset the names on a first come first serve basis. It's not just the levels your wiping but so many rare and one off collectable items that could never be retrieved.

Would you reset levels on request if enough proof of those levels being achieved was given? (beta style) 10,950 levels is a lot (all of them) to lose.
