Have a possibility of setting both the speed and the duration of the Speed stanza.

Why ?
Because I would like to crystallize it and enchant some items in order to have a "water jet". That will allow me to move faster on water.
Because also it's not always requested to run like mad for a very short time. A slower but longer run will be very welcome.

Well, for one, you cannot crystalize speed, so that seems to be a second request.

Besides that. going at 20km/h for 2 seconds or going at 10km/h for 4 seconds will result in the exact same distance travelled, so I am not sure I can see the benefit. (Feel free to add cooldown times, they would still be proportional and the distance travelled the same)

Why making it linear ? IRL, this is not linear. All games I created, I always avoided linear models, it kills the interest and it is usually not natural.
And yes, it will need to be able to crystallize it.

There is no logic to being able to crystalize speed. Speed uses no credits and the point of crystallizing is to get an instant cast. Speed is already instant. You could abuse the point of speed by using it 50+ times in a row if you crystallize it.

You can change the duration of speed by using a different level. The higher the speed the longer it lasts, but you only need one speed for it

crystalizing speed would be to much overpowering. (same with warcry/inv/self heal/...)

Makes sense, I start to understand the non-crystal for speed.

However, I still strongly disagree with the fact that time we cannot parameter both time and speed.
I noticed that once speed is active, swimming is faster, thus the idea.
So, i really would like to be able to move fast for a longer period of time. We could make a table like this (or a mathematic relation):
Speed 1 / duration x sec / length y m
Speed 2 / duration 1.2 x sec / length 1.4 y m
Speed 3 / duration 1.4 x sec / length 1.6 y m
etc...
It's reflecting reality, it's not overpowered, just a trade-off speed vs endurance reflecting reality and it will allow long longer runs.

If you want to run fast for longer periods go buy a mount or be online at xmass evening and harvest speed eggs
