IDEAS FOR RYZOM

Guys, it's an open source. People have been creating amazing bots for close source games since forever. Botting isn't and will never be about technology one needs to circumvent but about whether it serves any purpose. Every properly made bot was done because people behind them gained real-cash from usage. Maybe there are professional coders out there that would do it as a hobby pet project but if I look at myself ... my God, really? After 6 hours coding-for-living session I'd go and type something that will have fun instead of me? -_-

Agree.

I even don't like to think about fully-automated bots (IAs?).
The best I can think can be a "looper" utility to repeat some simple actions, saving my mouse's life only, not more than this (mouse's buttons tend to degrade faster than other things).
I even find pointless to have to click over and over again to do the same, simple action for minutes/hours, but that's all.

Never played with "intelligent scripts", ever avoided auto-actions (like some kind of "auto-heal me if I'm near to die", which can be add-ons in some games, and so on) for the same reasons well explained by Olmo.

Not sure if you know this or not, the thread seemed to get into other areas fast.
Macro:
line 1: Target Teammate #x
line 2: select shortcut bar 07
line 3 : run shortcut 14
line 4 : Select Shortcut Bar 06

If starting off in action bar 6 will target the teammate, run the heal action at location 14 of action Bar 7,
and return you to action bar 6 where you started.

I realize you want more where the macro could be put on any action bar and return you to that action bar -- and i would like that too but what you want is doable.

As to all the other points, the macro system is very good as is and does a rather good job of avoiding becoming an ingame botting system.

It's just a suggestion: if Devs will decide to not develop it I bet no one will do seppuku. ;)
At the same time, someone other than me seems found it useful and extended the concept.
And others warned about possible side effects too.
This is the best use of a forum, IMHO: try to reach the best, or at least to suggest it.
