Just an interesting idea that I've been toying around with and wanted to see how people would feel about it. In essence, it would be a switch in the form of some sort of structure with an HP. Could easily be done with a special mob.

Players could claim the objective by attacking it and reducing the HP to nothing...in which case it would revive at about 25% HP as an ally and gradually restore HP until full. Nearby aggressive mobs would kos to flip the switch again. The switches could have lvls and even reset every few days or so.

A flipped switch would block mob respawn within a certain area. Could also have other effects like slight aurus (stam/life/sap) etc etc and you could even add in the ability for the switches to be claimed by teams/guilds/leagues.

I know it probably sounds a bit overcomplicated but the point would be to maximize some of the PvE play by making a concerted, large scale assault on nasty areas both doable and worth it. Areas with switches would allow a coordinated assault to push mobs back for certain amounts of time.

You could also attach spawn events to switches to maybe launch a KP counter-attack.

I feel something like this would also help PvP tons.

There may even be something like this already. Apologies if that is the case.
