There is no evidence that the current Marauders are related to those troops who stole the Outposts from the legitimate governments, nor any evidence that the troops holding them at the time that the Guilds took over were of the general segment of hominity that now calls itself Marauders. I was not there, but bandits and tribes also exist, and we know that sometimes the soldiers of a civilization may go bad.

These new Marauders classify themselves as "rebels", but they do not seek to change society but simply to destroy it. What need have they then for Outposts, save as bases for further destruction? Their attempt to extort payment in return for "leaving" were just that, extortion, and to be rightfully resisted. At Twin Tops in the test of wits, the representative from the civilized guilds not only answered three riddles but totally stumped Dante the Teaser. The answer of the Marauders was to then declare war upon the outpost and for Dante to bring in his "Pets" when it was clear that the Marauder troops, even in great numbers, were no match for the defenders of civilization. (What force it was that caused the marauders to disappear, leaving only the beasts, I know not.)

The simple point is as stated above these were first funded by the Government of the 4 Nations ergo THEY are the original owners and have the final "claim" to any outpost as they footed the bill to build them and this claim superceeds any other claim.

The Soul is an honourable guild having always dealt with guilds and individuals in a selfless and helpful manor unless given cause and greivance to do otherwise. Ask nicely, be respectful & polite and we'll help you to the ends of Atys.

Threats levelled at us by the Maruaders or anyone for that matter will always be met with a simple answer "No" regardless of the end result, win or lose we will never respond kindly to threats or intimidation.

I'd like to add my personal thanks to those who helped protect our territory as i've been made aware those who helped came from both the Kami, Kara and Neutral factions. Hopefully this will be a lesson to others that attempts at extortion will be met by all the civilised nations of Atys standing together side by side against a common enemy.

Since you homin have massacred our gibbaï allies and their ancestors in the past, the time for retaliation has arrived and it is up to us to finish the job! We are not your incompetent soldiers led by a small and ridiculous government. As you have not yet realized, we have been assisting the gibbaï in their quest for revenge. The attacks of recent days are only the beginning of your suffering.

Aha. So the Syndicate of Despair was behind those Goo mutated bands of Gibbaï attacking homins in the Void. Shame on you! If I remember correctly last time the Marauders tried to experiment with Goo infected Gibbaï it didn't end so well for you...

Now this is what I call a dilemma.

Choosing between sociopath Goo loving Marauders and baby eating Jena worshippers invading our lands.

Hmmm...

Remember that these lawless brigands from the underbelly of Atys are not attacking Soldiers of Jena per se. The Syndicate of Despair surely covets ALL outposts in the Witherings. Their next target will more than likely be a Zoraï controlled outpost. If you deny succor to the Tryker's now, these hearty homins will not be inclined to offer aid when your own outposts are attacked.

In the past I have called for all citizens of the 4 nations to stand united against this common scourge. I continue to do so. Now is the time to draw an unpassable line in the sand (err... mulch) and ensure that these vermin gain no traction on the outer bark. For if they succeed in dividing us today, they will surely overrun all of our lands tomorrow.

The Soul will be defending Zo-Kian today. We will not be standing WITH the current karavan owners, but AGAINST the Marauders. When Blackburn was threatened, they stood with us and we are morally obligated to stand with them against the same enemy.

This does not mean that we accept kara in kami lands. It does not mean that we won't make every attempt to get this outpost back into kami hands. It means that we, kami and kara, have a common enemy and we can only defeat them if we stand united against them.

It is up to each of us to decide which is the greatest threat and to act accordingly. It is also good to think about where you will get allies when it is your turn to be attacked. The Marauders want your outpost, too.

Well the Trykers may not have beautiful blue skin but I suppose at least they don't meddle with the Goo!

The Guardians of Zora will also be defending Zo-Kian against incursion of the Marauders into the Witherings. As all homins of true hearts stand united against the Goo; so we also stand against the Marauders which threaten the civilizations which we and those before us have worked so hard to build.
