[Player] Bimonthly Convoys (2012/02/04) - EVENTS

The Wanderers and Generation X will be hosting convoys on the first and third Saturdays of every month. These convoys are not treks led by epic heroes. We are role-playing guilds who wish to create the festive atmosphere of bands of traders coming to town as well as the realism of everyday folk banding together to cross the desolate wastes between cities. We promise fun, comraderie, and danger.

Our first convoy will begin in Pyr at 20:00 GMT (or 3pm eastern US/GMT-5 just in case I've done my math wrong) on Saturday, February 4. We start with a small faire north of Pyr's east stable. We will have half an hour or so of faire as players trickle in. This will be an opportunity to trade goods and engage in festivities. Players who don't generally roleplay and players who just want to get teleports from the parts of desert and jungle we'll pass through are welcome to join.

We will hold another faire when we get to Dyron, on the open plain between the Kami teleport and the town. In both faires, people will have the opportunity to enter a creative contest. Tell short stories, recite poems, demonstrate a folk dance, perform a short play, heckle. I will monitor the time so plan your creative contribution accordingly. At a final faire under Zora's Rotoa trees, prizes will be given to participants.
