CAN'T SEND in game mail, POST to forums in game or even SUBMIT an in game support ticket since 14 Dec. Before this time these in game functions all worked.

CAN successfully READ mail received and in game forums. Also can post to forums out of game via the Ryzom website.

No changes on my computers or linksys home network coincide with onset of problem. Problem persists across all 3 networked Win 7 computers household. Reset ...ryzom/cache folders, but problem continues. These are error messages:

Error : Connection timeout : http://atys.ryzom.com/start/app_mail.php?page=compose
Error : Connection timeout : http://app.ryzom.com/app_forum/?page=forum/429
Error : Connection timeout : http://atys.ryzom.com/callback/index.php

Hope you can help. Not able to send in game mail is a major drawback.

Have you tried using firefox?

anyway, here's what to do:
1. Upgrade your browser
2. Open http://forums.ryzom.com
3. Log in using your screen (alt/character) name, and your password for that account.

4. Never use ingame mail/forums again, use your browser please - that's why you have one.

Um, he can access the forums/mail via his web browser, that is how he posted in the first place. You did read that, right?

I have also had timeout issues with in-game elements, including the forums. Gorran, I wonder if some settings in your firewall have been edited. Perhaps the Ryzom client's ability to access the web (port 80) has been revoked in some way (would be odd, but if you can't get a single page to load, then that'd be the first thing to check).

I tend to use the web for forums, as there's no post length limitation and better editing/refreshing capabilities. But being thoroughly unable to view anything in-game would not be practical.

Tico's having the problem and not me; however, you may be on to something there as he says he can access them via browser with no trouble.

Hurrah. Today the in game posting functions are working again! If you did something to fix it, thanks Sywindt!!

Actually, nothing was changed at all on the server side; so whatever your local problem fixed itself. But good to know nontheless.
